Nice holiday home in Lida, Bolmsö, with fantastic location and private beach by Lake Bolmen. On the beach you have access to a boat that is included, as well as an extra boat that can be rented. You can also rent two boat engines (5hp). If you want to bring your own boat, it is also possible. There is a small furnished storage room by the lake where you can store fishing gear and sit under a roof if it should rain.
The house has 4 bedrooms and from one you have access to the balcony. At the back of the house there is a terrace with lake views and large lawns for play and games. A paddle and swing are available for the children. On the terrace there is a charcoal grill where you can cook a wonderful dinner in the evening sun. You live very close to nature with a lot of oak forest down to the lake, where you can take a nice walk among sometimes grazing animals on the sides. Down by the lake there is also a barbecue area, where you can grill while fishing or swimming.
Things to see and do in Bolmsö and the surrounding area
Bolmen is Sweden's 10th largest lake with good fishing and swimming opportunities. There is plenty of pikeperch, pike and perch here. In Bolmstad harbor there is a nice waffle café that is open during the summer, which is worth visiting. The nearest shop is Lanthandeln in Tannåker where you can also buy a fishing license if desired. In Tannåker there is also a tennis court if you are interested in racket sports.
Drive towards Gavlö, which has a nice swimming area and then visit Dannäs waffle coffee in Dannäs. There is also a swimming area by the bridge on Tannön. If you are interested in horse riding, there is a horse riding school on Bolmsö. From north of Bolmsö you can take the cable car over to Sunnaryd, which is a nice place with Kårehamn. A nice excursion destination is to then drive south and visit Tiraholms Fisk which is located on Bolmen's east side in Halland. Here is a smokehouse and fish restaurant. 8 km away is Unnaryd by Lake Unnen. Unnaryd is a nice little town with small shops and restaurant Alebo.
In Ljungby, which is 26 km away, there are restaurants, shopping and many museums such as. The Fairytale Museum and the Sven Ljungberg Museum. Also visit the Mini World. Gamla Torg is worth a visit with a ceramic shop and Gästgivargården. In Ljungby there is a swimming pool, outdoor and adventure pool, mini golf and paddle. South of Ljungby in Hamneda you can visit Elinge Älgpark and feed moose. In Markaryd there is also Smålandet which has a moose safari and is worth a visit. you should also take the opportunity to have a coffee at Gräddhyllans Lantcafe. In Lagan is Slussen, which is a large second-hand shop with a nice café. There is also a grocery store, Peter Sport which sells fishing licenses and fishing equipment and Laganland which has a souvenir shop, moose park and golf course.

Boat motors (5hp) are also available to hire for the boats for SEK 1200/motor/week
