Between Skadar Lake and the Adriatic Sea, Village house Staciun 04. The village house is surrounded with a garden and there is a terrace with seating area and views of the mountain, olive trees and vineyard. Sutomore and the Adriatic Sea are within 17 km and the town of Virpazar on the shores of Skadar Lake is 8 km away. Village house Staciun is 35 km from Podgorica Airport.
In the first half of the 20th century, through the Limljni village, the legendary train “Chiro” was traversing. This was the reason for Limljani to be entered into the Guinness Book of Records, as the only village with 5 train stations.
Limljani is well known for its indigenous grape types and production of dark red “Vranac” wine for centuries. Tourists will find several opportunities for wine tasting and a chance to purchase wine from the cellars of local growers. Also, one can buy in the neighborhood home made cheese and fresh milk, grapes, figs, pomegranate, etc…
Aside from the numerous cultural and historical monuments in surrounding areas, the village church of St. Thomas, built in 1896, is especially interesting. Due to tectonic shifts and prolonged rainfall the church slid downward more than 150 meters from its original site. While nearby houses were demolished, the church was untouched, though it turned about 45 degrees and settled in a new northwest-southeast direction, bearing witness to its timeless value.
In a radius of about 10 km, you can enjoy the many attractions of the sea, lake and magnificent mountain peaks. You will see 14th century monasteries on islands of Lake Skadar, the fort and the old urban center in the region, the famous wine cellars, enjoy hiking and biking trails, kayak, bird watching, swimming in fresh and salt water, as well as taste traditionally prepared food from the sea and lakes, all served by friendly hosts which will make your stay unforgettable.
