"Beautiful homely hotel. Bedroom very quiet and clean. Tranquil and pretty surroundings with good places to walk. Owners very welcoming and friendly. Continental breakfast was nice and not rushed (which was great when we overslept). Good sized pool for swimming and decent sun loungers for relaxing. Great facilities to make your own dinner if you decide to stay in - Castres is circa 10-15 minute drive - with a small boutique to stock up on essentials like like wine and home produced honey! "We stayed here for four nights to explore Carcassonne and environment. Montolieu is a charming artsy village with lovely bookshops and little streets. The place we rented was the first floor of the house with the owners living downstairs. They were extremely friendly people and really going the extra mile to make your stay most comfortable. The amenities in and outside of the house are plentiful: bowling alley, pool ( not heated though), outside kitchen .... certainly recommend this place to...
