Do not miss this beautiful spot!
This was supposed to be a business trip for me, but it turned into the most fabulous 3 days that my husband and I have spent together in a long while, 100% due to this enchanting hotel. The building itself, the service, the welcome, our room, and the food were nothing short of perfection! I had let the proprietor know that I am gluten free ahead of time, and she did everything to make sure that I wanted for nothing. The place is situated in the middle of nowhere, but is completely self-contained, so just the perfect spot to relax, hike, go for a swim, get a massage, and eat to your heart's content. We absolutely cannot wait to go back.

Just Great
Martine is such a great host. The hotel is situated in a wonderful position overlooking beautiful valleys and is extremely peaceful. Evening meals are excellent as is the leisurely breakfast. I would recommend this auberge to anyone who like peace and comfort.

A bijou in the Auvergne
This is truly a family hotel. Without being intrusive, the owner treats you as you would expect to treat a guest in your own home. There was therefore no menu choice at dinner but we felt no need for one as the food was quite superb. However, I'm sure that that special dietary needs would be catered for. Eating in the hotel is really necessary as the nearest restaurant is a car drive away and who wants to come to France without being able to sample the local wines at dinner. Again, on the family hotel theme, the lounge was a typical family sitting room with of course, the obligatory French cheminee. It was small but big enough for three or four couples to have private conversations. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortably furnished with french windows leading out to a balcony with a table and two chairs. From this, we could admire the magnificant Auvergne countryside in the balmy warmth of the southern summer. A thoroughly enjoyable three days stay.
