"We had the most amazing stay at the Lux Belle Mare! The team were so welcoming, hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. The resort was clean, comfortable and luxurious, and the variety and quality of the food surpassed expectations. The honeymoon package made our stay extra special! The reception team assisted us with restaurant reservations both at the hotel and elsewhere. The buffet, and the Chinese and Indian restaurants at the hotel, and the local Japanese restaurant Hasu were our standouts. Restaurants seemed to get booked up quickly so it was important to plan ahead, but it was always possible to dine at the hotel buffet restaurant. The pool and beach were beautiful and the hotel includes some complimentary water activities/sports which we realised too late. There is free on-site parking with gated access for security, and found it easy to travel by car rental across the island to all our areas of interest. We would definitely visit again in the future and would highly recommend the resort to anyone looking to stay in Mauritius. "

"We stayed in a newly renovated 3 bedroom private pool villa on half board and the overall experience was absolutely incredible. From the moment we checked in at the Villa reception, Suren made us feel most welcome and provided excellent service. The villa, service, food, facilities & staff were exceptional. Everyone was welcoming, warm and friendly. Jessen, our favourite Villa Master always went out of his way to make our stay the most memorable. His attention to detail is unfathomable - always accomodating, lovely and kind. We were celebrating a birthday during our stay and without hesitation Suren and Jessen organised a birthday cake! Their kindness added to the charm and warm atmosphere around the resort. It was a pleasure to be greeted with smiles from every staff member we encountered. Kailash, our buggy driver scooted all of us around the resort on multiple occasions and was always a pleasure to be around. Marvin from the bar looked after us every time and provided amazing service. The food & service across all the restaurants were fantastic, every meal was amazing! We enjoyed the spa, sauna, private pool, mini golf, bar area, kids club, Citronelle restaurant & of course the beach! We did not get a chance to go snorkelling or water skiing due to weather conditions, but it gives us one more reason to come back next time. A special thank you Jessen, Suren, Marvin and Kailash for making us feel so welcome and for their continued support and kindness during our stay!"

"A stunning hotel with exceptional service and truly 5* food and drink. Although the rooms and some of the facilities are a little dated, please do not let this put you off as it is an absolutely incredible resort and the staff, pool/beach and dining options are impeccable. Could not recommend the all inclusive option more highly, it is fantastic value for money given the quality of food, drinks and activities on offer. We will definitely be back in the future! "

"Overall a fantastic stay for my 30th birthday! The staff are all so helpful and attentive. What we loved: Staff gave me a birthday cake surprise at dinner - thank you so much Sayid. The house keeping also decorated my bed with a happy birthday message which was so lovely. Staff were also friendly, attentive that they made sure I was comfortable as I was also pregnant. The dolce vita restaurant was delicious - thanks Kenny for serving us! Our room was comfortable, spacious and very quiet so we couldn’t hear other guests. The food at the buffet was delicious and I liked the variety. You can book a taxi from the hotel. The beach is lovely and clean and on a hot day it’s beautiful to relax there. Lots of activities at the hotel and excursions from hotel available. I also used the spa facilities and enjoyed a massage and facial. What could be improved: East of the island can be very windy and we went during the winter season and the pool was cold so maybe the hotel could add some heating to the pool. At breakfast first few days there was decafe coffee but then none so for pregnant guests etc. please ensure decafe tea and coffee is available. Also sometimes at breakfast had to wait a long time before you get tea or coffee served. At checkout the porter said it would be few mins to come get our bags from the room (we called at 11:45am) but only came after 1 hour to with the bags which was stressful as taxi to the airport was waiting so have separate checkout & checkin porter! "
