"New construction, immaculate interior, well-equipped. Excellent communication with host. Only issue, Google maps brought me to wrong property. As house is located high up on hill, with pleasant temp/breezes, which requires significant navigating along steep and winding streets I recommend not trying to check-in after dark. If you’re new to Dominica consider asking host to meet you lower down this longer drive-up from the coast. Do also recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle to navigate the streets, although the streets are all tarmac or concrete. Overall, lovely and comfortable house. "This is an absolutely beautiful and special place. Our room/suite was huge inside with a nice sitting area, a gigantic bathroom and very large bedroom. Wraparound balcony. The beach faces east to the Atlantic and mostly no one is there, outrageously gorgeous. Sunrise is spectacular. The restaurant has very nice freshly made food, very thoughtfully prepared, tasty. Less local-style cuisine than we would prefer and not a super wide array of options for vegetarians staying for 5-6 days but still very enjoyable and they are very accommodating. Fantastic included breakfasts. Pool is great, small but few people using it, and very nice, clean, good temperature. The grounds are beautiful, lush green with flowers, and the sounds (birds, frogs etc) are fabulous. The river is very pretty going down to the sea. The gym is cute and we did use it. There is no AC in it and the humidity is intense to work out in but I was glad for the opportunity. This is not the place for people looking to be around populated-type activities like going out to eat, and not easily accessible to the west coast tourist attractions. It’s also not a luxury-type resort with fancy-place vibes. This is for you if you are looking for remote, quiet, reasonably-priced real nature spot that is unique and special and has a local feel to it. Clean and comfortable and incredibly peaceful with stunning natural beauty. "

"City View is nestled in the mountains overlooking Roseau. It is a view to rival Morne Bruce. The Host, Tim L., is friendly and helpful even providing rides into town or back from town when it would work with his work schedule. Roseau is conveniently located to all of the main attractions; so, City View is a great home base. The view, the accommodations, the convenience and the host all make it a great place. "

"We loved our stay at the Sizo Cottage. The cottage is near the main road in the Roseau Valley, but it is also secluded and feels remote. The kitchen wide open to the rainforest valley is just a peaceful and harmonious way of living. We had everything we needed, cooked dinner every evening, had our breakfast in the morning, and went off exploring. Middleham Falls, Trafalgar Falls, Titou Gorge, Fresh Water Lake, all are nearby and convenient, as is Roseau. 10 our of 10, easy."

"The Anchorage was just what we needed -- location on the main street with parking for our rental car; clean room with AC, mini frig, electric teakettle/coffee & tea supplies; bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, and open closet/shelves; storm window with a view of the ocean; friendly staff; and a full restaurant right next door! The restaurant is located at Ocean's Edge and served us breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, take-away, and even has a bar. There is also a Dive Shop at Ocean's Edge for renting snorkel gear, scuba excursions, and whale watching tours. Anchorage has a meeting room for rent available and an outdoor bar/dance area for rent. (We enjoyed listening to live music one night during our stay.) Note: Anchorage has 12 hotel rooms, with 3 on the ground floor, and the others accessible via stairs. They also have a 3-bedroom apartment with kitchen for rent. Other 10-room block at Anchorage was damaged several years ago in Hurricane Maria. Hopefully this will be renovated in future. When we were at Anchorage their pool had suffered a bit of damage from Hurricane Beryl, so was empty of water and getting painted. Also, the "beach" at Anchorage is very rocky, so wear water shoes and look for waves/current/large rocks before entering.
