"Wonderful hotel - arrived late and left early so didn’t see much besides room, lobby and breakfast. Although I did use the free self-service laundry which was appreciated (need to walk across street to buy detergent). Room is a little tight for 4 adults & luggage it very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was average."

"Driving into the hotel, the grounds were well kept. Check-in was easy and the attendants very polite and friendly. The room was very clean. The floors to the bathroom were heated. The way the shower was set up; one could get water all over the floor. Peaceful nights’ sleep."

"The location, staff and hotel overall is very good. Its close to King John's Castle and many other historical sites. Note that footpaths are quite narrow around much of the town and not the easiest to cart around a suitcase that I discovered on the walk from the train station. "

"I had a lovely 2-night stay in one of the beautiful Castletroy Hotel suites. Very quiet & comfortable suite which contributed to sleeping soundly. Kitchenette well stocked with coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, etc. would highly recommend."

"There is a large public playground across the street from the hotel. Live music in the attached pub, but it also wasn’t so loud that it would be audible in the room. Leisure centre had a pool and a gym. The gym is small but well appointed. We had the breakfast included and it had a good selection of Irish breakfast options and cold options like cereals and pastries. It is entirely walkable from the bus station and to all of the options around Gort. It would make a good base from which to visit Galway City and the Burren without dealing with Galway traffic. Good for families. Our room had one queen bed and two twin beds. "
