"The property is good overall, specially for Buddhist pilgrimage. However if you are a pure vegetarian, you will face problems in food. Not only in the restaurant but in entire Bodhgaya. Apart from that we had a pleasant time in Bodhgaya and this hotel."

Our overall feeling was that the team in place had no, or very little, hotel management experience (albeit making efforts on the second day). Lastly, the hotel is no longer called Buddha International and the address is incorrect."

The cleanliness standards for India is different from the US - and by Indian standards, it was a quite clean hotel. I would definitely stay there again. "

"This is a 3 star hotel located about 1.5 miles from the Mahabodhi temple and the Bodhi tree. (When I booked it, the map showed it being very close, but it isn't.) It mostly caters to an Asian audience (Indian, Thai, Tibetan). The restaurant is excellent, as are its prices. (I would order a la carte instead of doing buffets). The room is a bit old and quite small. The bathroom was very nice. The staff is for the most part very friendly and helpful. "
