Fox Kit Cottage offers an exciting ocean experience in sumptuous comfort. As you scroll through the pictures you will see there is nothing in Bodega Bay like it. Well-appointed, it has two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed, the other with two twin beds, and one bathroom. It is perfect for a romantic getaway or a vacation for a small family.

With its remodel in 2011and further enhancements in 2018, the cottage continues as an upscale retreat for its owners and guests. Sitting above Wright’s Beach, views dominate from nearly every room, and intense ocean scenes are customary. From the beautifully designed deck and spa, you will relax, unwind, and feel what the power of the sea can do for your soul.

The ocean is not the only attraction. There is wildlife everywhere. Birds, whales, and fox (the cottage’s namesake) are just a sampling. From two short paths – Monterey Pine Path, and Bluff Path, you will enjoy the coastal landscape and incredible views. The spacious lot hosts a majestic, intricately intertwined, 40-year old Monterey Pine tree, with a path under its canopy and a stone bench to sit and admire natural arbor artistry. The Bluff Path takes you down to a bench amongst the freshwater springs, flowering foliage, with the vast ocean below.

Furnishings reflect a commitment to clean contemporary design, local art, and attention to detail. Amenities include quality bedding, thick bath towels and robes, and natural toiletries, setting this home apart from others. Everything I wanted for a quick solo retreat. The home was spotless, well-appointed, cozy. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were fresh and new. The show-stopper is the view, of course, and the hot tub is the cherry on top. Highly recommend

Stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary. We loved it. Close to town and Bodega Head trails was breathtaking. We loved the hot tub! The views of the sunset and stars while enjoying the spa were worth the trip. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with spectacular views, this is the spot!!!

This cozy, funky beach house was great for couples stay. Location couldn't have been better,everything was well stocked. Sittings on the deck at susunrise and sunsets eas special. And we saw the fox twice.

It was amazing, the property was as advertised. The only hiccup was when we arrived the property was not ready. A cleaning crew arrived but thought we were arriving the following day so we left for a couple of hours while they cleaned the property. With that being said I would highly recommend this location. Sitting in the hot tub looking at the ocean was breathtaking. I would definitely stay there again!

We normally stay in Santa Cruz but I think we liked Bodega Bay better. The house was beautiful and right on the beach. Beautiful views and we were able to hear the ocean from our bedroom. Property was clean and beautiful.

Just what my family of four needed. A cozy place with fantastic views, sea breeze, smell of salt water, and relaxation. The spa was a plus while watching the sunset! The property communication after reservation was wonderful, instructions for check in and check out were very simple, we arrived to a very clean home, kitchen was equipped, and beds (and pillows) were very comfy.
