"Cute cottage in a quiet spot with lots of privacy. Hike to private rock beach down the hill may be difficult for some, but our kids aged 3 and up managed it fine and it’s a perfect place to watch the sunset. Bunkie is nice too."

"You can tell the owners love this cottage. So many thoughtful details and care in this home. we stayed for two nights and definitely could have stayed longer. A quick note- both neighbours are very close as the property is beautiful but narrow. They were blasting music very loudly most of the day and both nights but graciously turned it down when we asked, but we could still hear it through the walls. This is not something the owners can control though. Normally I wouldn't care about music but...

"Property and location were great. Beach was nice, with fire pit, chairs and kayak + standup paddle board. You will need water shoes as bottom is rocky and slippery. Waterfront was surprisingly warm (early August). 100+ plus steps down to the beach , good exercise but not for everyone. Bayfield is a very nice town with lots of shops and restaurants. Cottage was small but clean and well equipped."

"We really enjoyed our 1 week stay from 17-24 Aug at this property. The listing info and pictures were an accurate reflection on what we saw and experienced, and the focal point we dealt with on the booking was fantastic in keeping us up to date and informed with useful info. A very nice property with stunning views of the sunsets on Lake Huron, and the city of Bayfield was an excellent place to relax and get into vacation mode. We would highly recommend this property. "

"Loved our visit to Bayfield. Accommodations were lovely and the town was so fun to explore. Communication with Jennifer was great and she checked-in regularly to see how we were doing, offer suggestions for restaurants, etc. We would stay here again."

"The Stonewood was beautiful located in quite bayfield nestled in the trees it’s a stones throw from town and a quick ride to Goderich and Grand Bend. The Stonewood with it’s impressive size has ample room for a large family or a group of friends with four bedrooms an ensuite with all for privacy and three bedrooms located on one end ensure quite and privacy at night . Beautiful place to stay with a lot to do on and off the property."

"Overall, our family had a nice time in the area. The cottage is close to Bayfield and in a quiet neighborhood. We did have a few issues during our stay, but they were addressed quickly by the host. I do not believe in giving blanket 5/5 stars, as I don't believe that helps future guests of the platform. If you are looking for a large cottage with fenced in backyard, this is suitable. However, we decided to go with 4/5 stars as the cottage has lots of wear and tear and access to the beach is...
