Tucked into the trees on the charmingly named Noontootla Creek, where you'll find guided fly fishing, clay shooting, and quail hunting, this gorgeous wood cabin is the perfect choice for your next getaway. Settle into the porch swing and spend mornings sipping coffee on the large, wraparound deck, or grab a good book and relax in the private, enclosed sunroom off the primary bedroom. When it's time to explore, you're surrounded by hiking trails, including the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail, around 13 miles away. Located just nine miles away from the Benton-MacKaye Trail and the Swinging Bridge over the Toccoa River, visitors can take in the beauty and tranquility of nature in the area. For more of an adrenaline rush, visitors can head 13 miles away to the Aska Trails Adventure Area for some mountain biking and seven miles away to the Jon Ron Toccoa River Outfitter for some tubing. All the shops, restaurants, and other amenities of Blue Ridge are around 20 miles north.
Inside the home, you'll find three levels of living space, pine-paneled walls and ceilings, and an open-yet-cozy layout. Don your chef's hat and step into the well-equipped kitchen, featuring a full suite of stainless steel appliances, and whip up family favorites, then sit down for a meal together at the adjacent table.
Spend the day exploring the area or checking out the creek, with access down a steep hill on the property, then come home to cool off in the central air-conditioning if it's hot or snuggle up in front of any of three gas fireplaces if it's chilly outside. Entertainment options include four TVs, board games, free WiFi, and an air hockey table, perfect for a fun family challenge. Toss the day's clothes in the washer/dryer, then fire up the grill on the deck for an easy cookout. End the night back outside, but this time gather around the firepit in the yard to roast marshmallows and toast your good luck at booking such an idyllic retreat.
