Spacious house in the beautiful mountains
We loved that each bedroom had a king size bed and that it had 2 fireplaces! Also plenty of seating for 6 adults.

We will be back!!
This was our 4th or 5th stay at Picabo cabin. Love the upgrades since the last time we there. Hoping the hot tub will be soon up for an upgrade. We enjoy this area near Blue Ridge and the Picabo cabin is clean, comfortable and has great views of the mountains.

Great Getaway!
The cabin was awesome! The hot tub was a little older, so the jets were a bit off and not working well. It mattered more to others than me, honestly. The hot tub was clean, warm, and relaxing, which is all I care about! Everything else was perfect- view, clean, space, porch. Even the blankets on the sofa were great! We also had multiple deer sightings in the yard as we sat in the hot tub. Very nice. Plan to return that's for sure!

Great getaway location!
The home itself was great. The view and privacy was amazing. The only issue we encountered was one bath tubs was clogged but there are two more. It was kinda rocky coming up to the cabin but they let you know ahead of time to drive the proper vehicle so listen. Whenever I'm in Blue Ridge I wil definitely try to get the Picabo cabin😃

Wont Rent Again
The porches were very dirty and full of cobwebs and spiders. Most light fixtures inside the house were full of webs. The hottub barely fit 2 people without overflowing. The road honestly required a big 4x4 to even get there safely especially when wet. Could not use either tub for kids since there was no stopper for the drain. The oven had to be fixed the 2nd day we were there. Not the worst place but not somewhere i would like to stay at again.

Dirty!
The house has a beautiful view. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are nice and firm. However, the house was dirty. The toilet in one of the bathrooms had the sanitized paper strip around it, but when I lifted up the top, there was a brown spot on the seat. The bedskirt was nasty. There were potato chips and dirt poking out from under the leather couch. The WiFi did not work, and the directions to reset the router were not accurate. (My husband is an electrical engineer and knows how to operate a router.) There were no instructions in the house or communicated from the management company about what was required at checkout. I think we left it cleaner than when we arrived!

Some Short Comings
The house was nice. True to the photos. There were some amenities that were not great. 1. Bedding. Pillows were not great. Blankets were old and worn. Comparable to a cheap motel. 2. Towels. Terrible. Thought I was staying at a Motel 6. 3. Kitchen. Kitchen supplies were a hodge podge of plates, glasses and utensils. There was an under-counter light whose switch was covered in grease. Never cleaned. 4. Couches. The leather couch was fine. The fabric couch was worn and ripped I dare not look under the cushions. The throw-blankets were questionable.

Wonderful cabin but could use more attention to cleaning & maintenance
We loved the cabin itself and all it’s amenities. However, the attention to cleaning & maintenance is visibly lacking. We found several dead small scorpions and other bugs visibly on the floor, under beds, AC return grills (clearly visible and accessible in the kitchen central island) covered with thick layer of dust, etc. We had a lovely stay regardless but it’s a shame because the cabin itself is very comfortable & cozy. Issues in maintenance included a fireplace at an incorrect settings (that prevented it from being lit until we googled it and fixed), the exhaust from the dryer was not installed correctly and al the humid air was just going in the master bedroom (until my husband fixed it). All reported to the management so hopefully they’ll take better care. DEFINITELY recommend 4 wheel drive especially in wet weather or winter. Very steep hill. Our Honda Odyssey managed but it wouldn’t in a worse weather.

Could have been better
Pros to this vacation: Cabin was nice, very peaceful and had a great view. Cons to this Cabin: The Cabin was not swept or mopped, found dead and live wasp in the house along with dead and live scorpions. There was even an old contact lens on the living room. The beds were not soft at all and were like sleeping on plywood. Management was notified and brought some foam toppers. After looking at the beds, the mattresses had been flipped and they were not the kind that could be flipped. The mattress cover, once flipped, had a big brown stain that looked like someone had a bowel movement and was never changed. The driveway to the cabin had wash outs and would be dangerous for elderly people. They would not move us to a different rental after numerous request and worried about the owners not getting thier revenue; therefore, we felt we did not matter. After numerous phone calls and not being called back for several days, we finally got ahold of upper management and given a partial refund. We made the best out of it but won't rent this Cabin again.

Lovely House with a View- Weak Hot Tub and No Water
The house is cute with a beautiful view. We loved that the three rooms offered a king bed and everyone got their own bathroom for the stay. The place was clean and tidy. There was plenty of parking space. The living space is perfect to connect with your group- you can talk from the kitchen to the living room. Now the negatives: the hot tub could use a refresh. We were very excited to enjoy that and we only used it once for a short amount of time. Even when the gauge read 103 it never really got warm. The jets work just really lightly. The gauge plate was rusted. It was nice that it was inside the house. But, just not really warm or with strong jets. The biggest issue was our last day- we had no water at all in the house. No washing hands, no flushing toilets and no showers. So, we all just left. We had hoped to have breakfast and enjoy the morning in the cabin. But, instead we did the chores for the house then packed up and left. I hated leaving on that note- especially when we all had a very long drive home. I did message vacasa and they just said thanks for your message. That was disappointing.

Dusty cabin
If you want to check out a dusty and not well maintained cabin this is it. When we got in the fan was running and lights were on, a sign that the cabin was cleaned or atleast someone came to be sure everything was good for our stay. But when we walked in the cabin had a bad smell and was dusty all over. There were cobwebs in the front, back padio and in basement. The cobwebs were so thick that it looked like the cabin was not cleaned for atleast a year or more. There was atleast 5 dead scorpions in the basement bathroom and closet. I complained and the main Vacasa office was of no help. I ran to Walmart and got some cleaners and cleaned the inside myself. Next day called the local Vacasa office in Blue Ridge and they agreed to send a cleaning crew when we were not home (apparently that’s their policy). Someone came and cleaned, but did not clean the scorpions. Next day found a live scorpion and I killed it. These are non-poisonous Alabama scorpion, so whatever, but my wife hated the stay. Asked for compensation for all this trouble and none was given. Not going back there for sure! Oh, the indoor hot tub turns on & off all night (it’s a standard cleaning cycle), but ofcourse the noise it made at night did not help with a good night sleep. Have used Vacasa before and we are happy with previous rentals. This place needs some serious attention and it does not meet the high standards that I feel Vacasa wants to portray.

Just what we needed
We totally enjoyed our stay. This cabin was just what we needed away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enough space for all of us to feel comfortable but still cozy for us to enjoy. We had a great night by the fire and enjoyed the views from the deck while we bonded. We would definitely love to come back for another getaway.

Perfect Labor Day get away
The cabin was perfectly appointed with the amenities that my family needed for a week in Blue Ridge. The view of the mountains from the rear of the home was outstanding. 3 bedrooms with king size beds and 3 full bathrooms enabled my family to enjoy the restful and peaceful time together.

Exceeded expectations!
This place looked so cute in the photos and the location is really great in the mountains, but not so far from a civilization it’s a pain to go to a grocery store. Some of the gravel drives are steep, it wasn’t a problem for us since we have AWD but a standard car might have issues if inexperienced. The cabin was a lot bigger and more beautiful than the pictures could portray. Hot tub was a really fun feature. Big space, big rooms, we brought our 3 kids and 2 small dogs and we were very happy and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again, you won’t be disappointed. Fall branch falls is a nice little hike close by, not too far of a walk to see some waterfalls. You will have a lot of fun. Everything was very clean, it looked like the last guests forgot to wash one pan, and one of the batteries in the remote was not missing. But really not worth the complaint. We had an awesome time

Good Proximity but….
Cabin is conveniently located between Elijay and Blue Ridge and the surrounding ding hiking trail heads. Cabin is set up very well for multiple couples or kids with each bedroom basically having its own bathroom. The gas fire places were nice especially the one in the downstairs bedroom. 2 porch swings are very nice. For us personally the indoor hot tub was a bit odd and uncomfortable. It gets hot in the room when in the hot tub. While you can open the windows the road has a clear view into the room and anybody in the hot tub. The view of the mountains is good but not great. This is not a negative to the cabin but guests should be prepared that while it is common in VRBOs to have some kitchen amenities left over such as salt, pepper, coffee filters, aluminum foil, etc , be prepared to supply everything of such you would need. We also noticed that while this is a cabin and there are closets in the bedrooms there aren’t any dressers or drawers to place your clothing in. You will be living out of a suitcase. We didn’t mind just and observation. Overall this is a nice cabin and set up nice with separation between the bathrooms and has a common living space that is centrally located. However I don’t believe this cabin would fit our needs again on an extended stay in the area.

Very disappointed with the cabin amenities. There is a water leak at the edge of the indoor hot tub that had been there for quite some time. We were for a wedding and we were very busy. Management sent a maintenance person to address the issue but I wasn’t contacted ahead of his/her visit and missed it. Kitchen amenities (coffee filters, cooking spices, storage wraps etc.) were non existent. The hair dryer was sticky and difficult to use. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone and would not rent again.

Best Vacation ever!
I have stayed in Hotels, I have stayed in air B&B and neither have been as nice or as clean as Vacasa. From the very beginning Vacasa is better, with 3D walk through on most rentals, easy online reservation steps, and the simplest check-in procedures, there really is no other competition. Once we arrived on site, we were blown away: Cleaned perfectly. My wife is OCD and couldn't find anything wrong All essentials are provided, toilet tissue, soaps, towels, pots/pans, silverware etc. 2 fireplaces that worked A hot tub that worked -This cabin is perfect for a small family, with 3 bedrooms in it. Plenty of space for kids to run around and play. Teenager will be fine as there is wifi. It is a close proximity to Blue Ridge, and only an hour drive to the outlet Malls in Atlanta. I would highly recommend 4WD or AWD as there are some very steep hills on dirt to get to the cabin. While it's dry and car could get up it, but barley. However, Vacasa does have other rentals in the area on paved Roads. Anytime we go on vacation, we will use Vacasa. It's not our rental of choice for future adventures and will definitely be coming back to blue ridge.

Very Disappointed
I only give this cabin 2 stars instead of 1 because the cabin itself is very nice. We really liked the layout and design. The level of service received however is a 1 star rating. Very poor, yikes! Firstly, we were locked out of the cabin for a good hour and 45 minutes when we arrived. Check in time is 4:00pm which is already a very late check in time in my opinion. I was in contact with the hosts that my husband and I would be getting married early that morning and that this was to be a weekend honeymoon vacation for us. The day prior to arrival and the morning of we messaged the host asking for instructions & information on checking in but only received automated email responses with no instructions. Being locked out for almost 2 hours in a wedding dress in the woods with a dying phone was an awful start to our honeymoon. We paid a very expensive price for a 2 night vacation. Extremely disorganized. I regret the cost... Luckily my husband's phone did not die and after a long time with customer service we managed to get in. The water shut off the following morning. Zero running water.... it was "fixed" after several hours but it sputtered on and off throughout the rest of our stay. I understand things happen that our out of our control but customer service offered no compensation or even a possible discount on future bookings/trips. Their sentiments were basically: "Sorry, it happens, enjoy your stay!" We splurged for this cabin with VRBO over more affordable options under the impression that this company was a "vacation/resort" style of hospitality. They should not be advertising themselves as a vacation experience because their service does not meet the standard required in the hospitality industry. Management needs some guidance… Do not expect any extra effort made. They provide the bare minimum. No complimentary coffee, no salt/pepper etc. Don't expect robes or any extra gestures if you're here to celebrate a big event or special weekend. The cabin itself is clean on the surface but is due for a serious deep dusting and change of their air filter. We were happy to leave when we did because our allergies were getting bad. The hot tub heats up but the water was filled very low. Only a few jets actually work and they’re low pressure. Some jets were above the waterline from the low water fill so they just spewed and sprayed water everywhere. Do not waste your money, there are better options.

Absolutely Amazing Cabin
We booked this cabin as a last minute vacation and it was better than we could have imagined. The view from the cabin is stunning. The first thing we noticed was how clean the cabin was. We couldn't find a cobweb in any corner of the house. Pretty incredible for a house in the mountains. We stayed the first week in September and the attention to detail was perfect and the season decorations already in place. The beds are very comfortable and we picked the room with the best view to wake up too. As a bonus, two of the bedrooms have access to two different decks. The downstairs bedroom has it's own deck and the washer and dryer are located off this room. The location of the cabin is great. It not very far from downtown Blue Ridge. There is are a lot of places to see with in an hour of the cabin. Waterfalls, winery's, shopping and the Blue Ridge scenic train takes you up the mountains to Tennessee. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this cabin for a couple, like us, or for a large family.
