Colonel Webers Lodge, 5 Sleeping Areas, 3 baths, Hot Tub, FP, Accessible, Pet

Whether you want a mountain lodge for your next ski vacation or to stay in the Blue Ridge Mountains at any time of year, Colonel Weber's Lodge is the perfect getaway for up to twelve guests! Bring the whole family, from seniors to infants! And, don't forget your canine pals! Colonel Webers is outfitted with many accessibility and comfort features for the whole family!

This comfortable, spacious, older-style ski mountain lodge is located just steps from the entrance to the Appalachian Ski Mountain ski area, convenient to both Blowing Rock and Boone.  You will never run out of things to do, whether hiking, exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, shopping, dining or enjoying the amenties at home, including a firepit, hot tub, sauna, pool table, darts, WiFi, washer/dryer, and a television in every room!  And Colonel Weber's main level is handicap accessible from bedroom to bath, with many built in features, a power lift chair/recliner and additional high quality ramps and accessories that can be put in place prior to your arrival or removed if not needed!

The spacious living/dining area will transport you to the mountains immediately with leather furniture, large stone woodburning fireplace, antler chandelier, traditional mountain decor, rich wood paneling and floors and plenty of space for your friends and family to gather.  A large sliding glass door leads to a deck with patio furniture for outdoor dining or enjoying an evening cocktail or morning coffee. The charcoal grill is large enough to cook steaks for your whole family.

The kitchen, just off of and open to the living/dining area, is well organized, clean and fully stocked with glassware, dishes, cookware, utensils, and stainless appliances. There is a place for everything and you will love cooking up a holiday meal in this well-equipped kitchen.

The main level King Master Bedroom and hallway bath are wheelchair accessible with widened doorways and full, obstacle-free access to the bath, kitchen, dining and living areas. The King bedroom has dressers, night stands, quality bedding, closets and all the comforts of home. This lovely master with a view of the mountains has a private deck with patio furniture. The hallway bath has a roll-in shower with fold down cedar bench, grab bars, and accessible height toilet and sink, towel bars, and mirror.  You can expect hotel quality linens and soft and fluffy towels too!  Also on the main level, next to the master, there is a bunk room with a double lower bed and twin upper bed, TV, windows and dresser. The bunk room also shares the hallway bath.

There is a second Master Bedroom downstairs with a King bed and a single sofa sleeper, dresser, bedside tables, upholstered chair and closet. This bedroom has a beautiful view of the mountains and it's own deck, also with the mountain view. There is also a bedroom with two queens, similarly outfitted for your comfort. These bedrooms share a hallway bath.  Finally, there is another King bedroom downstairs, with electric fireplace, huge TV and private bath.

From downstairs you can access the large yard, firepit with log seating, picnic table, lawn chairs, and hot tub. Also downstairs is an infared sauna, a laundry room with washer and dryer, a linen closet, and closet with yard games like corn hole and horseshoes!

The driveway includes outlets for an Rv or to charge an electric car.

You will love the memories that you make with your friends and family at Colonel Weber's Lodge, skiing, soaking in the hot tub, or sitting around the fireplace, telling stories and enjoying the mountain air and night sky.

Grad celebration
Our family (11 people) enjoyed our time at Colonel Webers Lodge celebrating our App State grad. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their private space but also a large common area for us to spend time as a big family.

Great handicap friendly rental
This home is in a good location and a has great layout. I will say that it is in definite need of a DEEP cleaning and repairs, especially the deck for safety reasons. I would like to point out that if you work from home or need Internet upstairs, you will have a lot of trouble but downstairs the Internet worked well. However, the management was wonderful and helped us with any issues we had promptly, which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely stay here again. And if you need firewood make sure to take a quick trip down the road back past the ski resort....You can support a great local guy who won't sell you wet wood.

Blowing Rock Retreat
We all enjoyed our stay and appreciated the driving directions once we entered Blowing Rick. The Lodge is well located between Boone and Blowing Rock , easy to get to both. Our phone call regarding fire wood and internet connection was answered promptly. We look forward to returning for another stay.

Lots of Room
The house had LOTS of space for our group: 5 adults and 2 small children. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, as were the bathrooms. We realized we needed some light bulbs on our first day and management was very responsive without being intrusive. We are all coffee drinkers and the coffee pot left a little to be desired, as did the dishwasher. It didn't clean the dishes and we had to handwash many. Warning: Tweetsie Railroad is right down the hill, blowing its horn followed by fake gunshots. It scared the kids. Overall, a great place to stay! We would stay there again.

Plenty of room for everyone! Amazing view. You can hear the Tweetsie Railroad train whistle throughout the day and even see the smoke/steam down in the valley.

Family vacation
The house was easy to find and although you felt tucked away it was convenient to nearby attractions. Communication with rental agency was top notch. Parking was plentiful and flat. Wifi worked great. Plenty of space to spread out with our large family and dogs. My only negative was the lack of towels and wash cloths. It would have been nice to have at least 1 towel and 1 wash cloth for each person. Overall, its a nice home for an extended family vacation.

Perfect property for multiple generations
This property was great for multiple generations. It was awesome to have a few rooms on the main level with no steps for entry or bathroom shower. We had an issue with the WiFi and the property management company was very quick to respond. The road up was a mountain road so we split and someone else drove the older generation up so they didn’t have to drive the mountain. This was to be expected given the proximity to the ski resort, just commenting if you have elderly people in your party. Took advantage of the hot tub and the sauna. Kitchen seemed well stocked for the size of our party. Overall a really great place!

Easter weekend
We enjoyed our stay. The only problem was we didn’t have heat for the first night and it was very cold. They did respond quickly and brought us some space heaters until they could get a repair man. They were very friendly and got heat working our second day. We will definitely stay again.

Like Grandpa’s lake house
This house has wonderful character. It feels like the old family lake house, just up in the mountains. The location was great and it was easy to find. Lots of lounge space in the living room and comfy beds for everyone. Everything was very clean. My only gripe was that a house this large needs a larger hot tub, but that’s just me being picky. Great place!!!!
