"I selected this place because it looked great and the price was right, with a location close to the beach. What they don't say is there's a fee that gets added and it's nearly the cost of a full day of stay, so take that into consideration before choosing. Plus, the checkout time is 10am, which is unheard of. You'll get charged another hefty fee for late checkout. It's spacious, there's great views, and a number of amenities offered including a grill, toaster, microwave and coffee maker. The pots and pans all look like they were bought from Goodwill. The fridge was condensing on the inside and a puddle from this condensation formed and dripped on to the floor. There's barely any cutlery and cooking utensils. There's count 'em two spoons and they're low quality. The remote for the tv is missing. The owner of the place is Vacasa, and they are not local, they're a corporate entity. I told them about the problem with the fridge. Communication with the vacasa is via text, but they only thing they can do is contract with a local manager. In the end, no one came to fix it. Because of the disconnect, it just does not feel like a home, it feels like a stark, barely furnished box that's run for a corporation. "

"We had everything that we needed. However the access code did not work to get in. We were able to access the key, so that was good. There was an old house odor that permeated the home. Overall we had a great trip. "

"Our family with three kids had a great stay here! Yes, it is on the main road but with fans you don’t hear much noise. The yard is huge and perfect for the kids to play and it’s well stocked with lawn games. (Note: bring bug spray because there were mosquitoes) The kitchen is also well stocked with all the dishes and cooking tools you might need. The hot tub was perfect in the evening. It was a good size and great location for exploring Whidbey!"

"Although I am giving this one only two stars, let me start with something positive. This facility would easily be worth five stars if it were properly maintained, equipped, supplied, and managed. The problem is that it isn’t. The most egregious issue that we encountered was visible black mold in one of the downstairs units. When I sent photos to the management company, they sent their local person over to look. She recommended that we vacate the unit, which we did. My question is why this issue was discovered by a renter? The mold is easily visible. It was spread out over two walls. It didn’t appear the day before we arrived. Why didn’t the cleaning crew report it? The cleaning crew were responsible for other disappointments we had with this rental. Their cleaning efforts seemed cursory and superficial. For example, the bathroom in Smuggler’s Cove appeared to have been only lightly touched – a curl of the previous tenant’s hair clogged the drain in the sink and another whisp had been left on the surface of the sink itself. There was a spider in the tub and another on the floor. There was a generous handful of dry cereal – multi-colored circles, possibly Fruit Loops? – under a cushion of the couch in the living room of the main house. Other deferred maintenance items detracted from my experience. The windows are double-paned. At least two of them leak. Salt water has gotten between the panes. I have a longer list but Expedia imposes a space limitation. "

"Myself and a few friends stayed here for a friend's wedding and the house was fantastic. The view from the deck was beautiful, and the house was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything you might need and there was plenty of space for our group to spread out. The house is also in Freeland very close to everything which made it even more convenient. We struggled a little bit with the coffee maker, but there was a very helpful book full of information on the house and directions on how to use it. Coffee was also provided which was a lovely touch. Would definitely book again next time we're on Whidbey :)"
