11 of us (6 adults, 5 children aged 9-15) enjoyed a week at this property.
We mainly spent time by the pool which was of ample size for our group. It was clean and the electric cover made it easy to keep the leaves out overnight etc.
The bedrooms all had ensuite facilities which were well apportioned (showers and some with baths) and the rooms were all spacious. Shower gel/shampoo included.
This property (and vineyard) is clearly a labour of love for the owner and it is not finished. Some areas were closed off to us as, we assumed, they hadnt been renovated. But that didn't stop there being plenty of space. In the evenings we had one room for people who wanted to play French pool (a pool table without pockets) and another for those who wanted to chat etc.
We took about 30 minutes to walk from the property along the river/estuary? into Blaye for lunch (booking required for our size of group).
The local supermarket is c 10 minute drive and provides everything needed to self cater. That said, the kitchen facilities which include an oven, 4 ring hob, and dishwasher, werent enough if you wanted to cook separate meals. We mainly had BBQs though.
A few things to be aware of:
1. 5 bedrooms are on the top floor. There are, according to those who counted, 82 steps from bottom to top which makes you want make trips infrequently. There is no bathroom other than the bedroom ensuites.
2. The wifi works well but there is no TV
We would happily return!
