Traveling with friends for a Lake Powell houseboat trip for the eclipse, we stopped here on the way from Flagstaff and on the way back to break up the drive. The house was perfect for a fairly large group and was easy to find. Communication with the owner was good with easy check in and check out instructions. Will definitely stay again if on the way to the lake or in the area.
Two families stayed here when we had a local funeral to attend. It’s close to a grocery store, a gas station, etc. It was a great property on a quiet street, and we were able to bring our dog. Really nice to have three bathrooms and it even had an older piano that we played. They had a lit christmas tree which was a nice touch! We would definitely stay again.
This was a painless and easy vrbo to rent!!! The cabin is sooo spacious (I’m sure it’ll ac omodate 12-14 but we only had 4!!) the communication I had with owner/property manager was delightful!!! At sunset we enjoyed watching the herd of elk (very serene and entertaining!!). It is very clean!!! We will rent it again!!!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful , rustic home!!!!
This was a great spot to stay for a small group of 8 folks traveling to hike Bears Ears and Canyonlands. Lots of room to spread out.
A couple of suggestions:
1 towel hooks needed in bathroom
2 replace mattress in lower floor queen - it's rough and nearly touching the floor when occupied
3 keep office space upstairs open - we needed it for another separate sleeping area and the whole space was being used for custodial (not what we saw in images)
4 directions on the individual heating units - we couldn't get several of them to work and it was pretty cold
5 heads up on the wild horse herd - while absolutely beautiful, they came a knocking on the patio at 4am and caused quite a stir before we figured out what was going on
PROS
1 Central to anything needed, including gas and groceries
2 Beautiful workmanship, especially on the main floor, with wood everywhere
3 Lots of openness on main floor so never felt crammed in
4 Refreshing to have everything working and enough pans in a VRBO kitchen - thanks!
5 The surrounding animals are magical, waking up to sip coffee as we watch the horses move through and the elk coming right up to the fence line 25 feet from the patio.
Owner communication was fantastic and so appreciated! Thanks for a great stay.
Overall, we were pleased with our stay. The showers were a frustrating experience being difficult to get in and out and a poor curtain setup, but the cabin was comfortable and clean. The Prarie dogs in the yard were entertaining, but the mountain views were diminished by the old machinery littering the yard. Good option if staying in Blanding, not Monticello as the listing states, to avoid the crowds of Moab.
The cabin had plenty of kitchen ware, plenty of towels and other needed supplies. Cabin was spacious. Pet friendly. Great porch to watch the storms move through, as well as the prarie dogs.
Very nice house and great for groups. Location is good for several national parks and monuments, but there isn’t a lot in Blanding. However, there is a great market close to the house if you’re cooking.
Great home! This home was so comfortable and had all the accommodations for our group. Located in a great location, and close to so many beUTAHful locations. It was cozy and quiet, the only thing missing was a couple chairs on the front porch to watch the amazing sunrises or star gaze
This cabin was spacious for our family get together. It was nice because a grocery store was near by. We had a great time celebrating our grandmas 90th birthday. This area of the country is beautiful and there are so many great hikes and things to see just within a short drive.
