"Looks great from outside, and very welcoming from the start. The rooms are clean and spacious with great quirky decor and a very comfortable bed. We used the bar and restaurant during our stay and found the food very good and the service excellent. Staff were friendly, and the breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. We would definitely stay again."

"Perfectly decent pub accommodation, in a separate building set back from the pub which is ideal in case is worried about noise. Fairly basic facilities (note no toiletries are provided) but a nice touch having a small fridge with free bottled water and proper milk for tea/coffee!"

Pre-ordered breakfast for the following day and then settled down for the evening in a huge room with comfy seats, a big bed and a lovely bright and clean bathroom. Breakfast was just as promised, fresh, local and really tip top. Sat chatting with the hosts over breakfast watching the horse liveries turning out for the morning. Very very pleasant. "

"We stayed overnight after visiting the tank museum and heading back up north. Welcoming staff and beautifully renovated inn. The rooms initially seem slightly expensive - until you walk in and realize you have a 'unit' rather than a room - large bedroom, large bathroom and superb lounge with fridge containing milk and chilled water. The rooms are well equipped with two flat screen TVs - next time we'll arrive earlier to enjoy the rooms more!"
