Redbird Retreat - pet friendly

Redbird Retreat is a dog friendly cozy cottage nestled in a wooded acre next to a national forest. There are many beautiful parks, walking/hiking trails and waterfalls to enjoy year round. Lake Nottely is very close by which offers lots of fun family activities and we are also close to the newly open Harrah's Casino in Murphy, NC!

Such a cute house!
We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed the comfort & coziness of this house! A big pet peeve in VRBOs for us is when the furniture is just not comfortable- happy to say that the couch and recliner were both great! After touring around all day it was great to come home to Redbird Retreat. We also really appreciated the small fenced dog area. We would definitely stay there again!

Awesome!
We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Redbird Retreat. The bed was great - not to hard not to soft. We cooked a few meals and found everything we needed right there. We spent several enjoyable evenings in front of the fireplace. The property manager was kind enough to arrange for some firewood. The deck was perfect for coffee in the morning. 5 stars all around! Thanks!

Short get away from everyday stress
We were very pleased with the Redbird Retreat. Nice neighborhood fairly quiet (neighbors have dogs), the house was clean and comfortable. Check in and out was very easy. We would love to come back when we can stay longer.

TV's
TV's did not work, no instructions on how to operate. This is about TV's over fireplace. GPS had had time getting us to and from cabin to make it to the wedding. The amount of time we were there it was a nice place, if the TV had been working.

The property owner has quick response times and even went out of her way to fix a slight issue. The house was easy to find and even though the beds were firm they were perfect for my back pain problem which is a huge plus! Everything we needed was provided for our short stay. And the location is perfect for being secluded but close enough to get out and a bout.

We booked for two weeks and left 2 days early. Cottage smelled very musty causing me breathing problems. TV did not work properly. Has issues with it and very basic ameneties not available. Even samples to get us started. For us it was the Cottage of NO return.

House hunting with our dogs
A brief 3 day stay with our dogs from Florida looking at vacation homes. Looked for something convenient and close to town to our realtor. Also allowed our 3 dogs which was extremely nice. Road easy to drive on and houses around but very quiet. Was able to walk dogs down the road not worried about traffic. It does have a side fenced yard which was a reason I rented it, but was really muddy and smaller than expected so dogs couldn’t really explore like I thought, but otherwise would definitely recommend and stay here again when we come to visit being we didn’t find a home this time around.

The property was very easy to find! Everything was exceptionally clean and cozy. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was nicely appointed. Robin (the owner) was very kind and responsive to any questions I had. Would absolutely stay there again!

Thanksgiving Trip
Our stay was great and property was as listed. Our pup enjoyed access to the deck/yard without the need for a leash. Just far away enough from traffic but less than 15 minutes from town. The kitchen had everything we needed for a full Thanksgiving meal. Robin was the perfect host!

Porch was in poor condition, living room furnishings were worn out, beds were very hard. very uncomfortable. Called owner for help in operating TV, left message, she never called. Toilet needs upsized for adults. Roaches were present daily.
