If you are looking for a quiet, tranquil, relaxing escape to the Blue Mountains, then Mount Booralee is the place for you.
Nestled on 20 acres of private, natural bushland in Blackheath, Mount Booralee, first settled in 1880, is one of the mountain’s most historic properties.
The 1930's Federation style home is surrounded by stunning formal gardens and parkland areas with a lily pond, water garden and the Summit – a high rocky outcrop offering panoramic views of the surrounding district.
The Mount Booralee Studio is a relaxed, cosy environment offering a king size bed with quality linens, modern bathroom and fully equipped kitchenette. The Studio is separate from the main house and the private deck looks out onto manicured lawns and beautiful gardens as well as district views across the Grose valley and beyond.
The property is surrounded by National Park and teems with local native fauna and flora. Easy access to walking trails and mountain lookouts makes Mount Booralee a favourite for bush walkers, international tourists and those just wanting the peace and quiet of a weekend (or longer) in the mountains.
Mount Booralee is only a four minute drive to the restaurants, cafes and antique shops in Blackheath village.
Guests have full access to all areas of the property, plus BBQ facilities and a fire pit are available for use - weather and fire regulations permitting
On request (weather permitting), the hosts offer a Pizza and Fire Pit night and a Sundowner's hamper for guests to enjoy on the Summit at sunset.
Note: We are pet friendly for dogs only as we have two very friendly and sociable dogs on the premises.
