Place to relax, been here already dozen time and definitely not last. Grab your favorite book, switch of you phone and enjoy fire in fireplace. Also plenty of activities around.
The fan is very noisy, the toilet had a lot of little flies, there was no shampoo/conditioner/shower gel that is biodegradable. No mozzie spray. Beds had sheets instead of doona covers, which the kids made a mess out and were not used to, so the sheets moved and they ended up sleeping without hygenic cover of doona. Lights are either broken or need improving, outdoor light couldn’t be turned off at night. Noisy neighbours, bad sleep. No plunger for our coffee. 4 out of 10
We were travelling with family and friends and had a great time. The weather was a bit hit and miss and the reception area closed which made it difficult for all of us to be able to spend more time together. Otherwise the kids and adults really enjoyed. Will return!!
Perfect getaway from the city! Cozy and well-maintained cabin with a very effective wood burning oven. Close to plenty of nature walks and plenty of cafes and restaurants in Blackheath and nearby Katoomba. Highly recommend!
Cozy and comfy cabin, peaceful environment, very friendly staff, fully equipped, perfect for a quiet and relaxing week(end), close to stunning places. I would definitely go again.
We had a lovely long weekend in the Mountains. Weather was cold and rainy but the slow-burning wood fire kept the cabin nice and toasty. The first night we stayed was a lovely peaceful night in the middle of the bush - beautiful setting. The second night coincided with the venue hosting a wedding reception, so we came back from a long day out and there was absolutely no parking available. Unrelated to the wedding, some of the other guests had a party with loud music in the barbeque area, so it wasn't the tranquil, peaceful evening we were hoping for. Other than that the accommodation was good, and it is ideally located for the Grand Canyon walk which is one of our favourites in the Mountains.
It was nice to come to warm cabin with the fire lit. The cabin was clean and tidy. It would have been nice to have better instruction to organise a late check out and the bed could be improved. Its a beautiful place and most people will love it,

Disliked: Staff & service
It is a back to basics getaway
The attraction of this place is its rustic appeal and back to nature location. The facilities are clean but basic with chemical toilets. There is a fire place and plenty of fire wood which is good.
There were no staff there when we were told to check-in, so we had to figure out how to get our cabin key. The reception area is only open between 5-10pm. It has a big fire pit and comfortable seats and also board and card games.
We did enjoy our stay but only book if you are prepared for a rustic, isolated back to nature basic accommodation. Don't book if you are after luxury and frills.
