The house is a little quirky, but the location is beautiful. It was a perfect mid-way point between downtown Seattle and Mt. Reiner. House was clean and peaceful. We had no issues with anything during our stay.
Beautiful lake view with quirky cabin. Close to Ravendale wedding venue. Our only negative--be aware that the steps and sloped gravel walking path to the cabin can be challenging for the elderly! We saw beavers, bald eagle and a golden eagle. Relaxing morning kayak paddle is recommended. We would definitely consider another stay if we need to return to the area.
The place is an older cabin but comfortable and clean and met our needs for something close to Ravensdale. The summer morning was beautiful on the lake.
We were so amazed with all of the comforts of home this place had. They were set up to really fit the needs of just about any family. We had our rehearsal dinner here and everyone commented on the beauty of the location. The home was very cozy and clean. We also got ready here the morning of our wedding (us girls) and it was perfect with the deck overlooking the water. We would love to come back!
If you want a quiet and relaxing place to stay, this is the place to be. It is clean. No phone service, but there’s Wifi & cable. Nice view. We enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended. Hope to come back soon specially in summer. Thank you!
This was the perfect spot to be close enough to Seattle and to Mt. Ranier. We had come back from a cruise and wanted to tour the area. This cabin was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 2 kids. Although the second bedroom is quite small, it didn't bother us in the least bit. The cabin is filled with all the amenities so you technically do not need to bring much with your. The lake is gorgeous and the cabin offered plenty of water toys to use. We kayaked on the lake and had fun with the beavers. Its an older cabin that is being renovated but had enough old world charm that you look for when staying in a cabin in the woods.
Just not exactly what we expected. Really rough driveway and with the snow would’ve been easily stuck if we had not gotten a Jeep wrangler for our rental car. Having no Wi-Fi connection and no service was another difficulty. We were in town to visit family and we weren’t really able to contact them unless we were at the top of the driveway. No way to watch anything, which is totally fine but it’s kind of too quiet at night and would’ve been nice for some background noise.
The place itself was clean for the most part and the lake is really gorgeous. I imagine this cabin is intended more for summer use so keep in mind we came in December. The host was communicative and we really appreciated that. Overall I would suggest more details and communication in the listing to disclaim some of the conditions that come along with the property.
This is one of the few rentals on VRBO that allows events, and it was perfect for our elopement. We were married on the dock, roasted smores by fire pit, and enjoyed the quiet nights away from civilization. Other perks: the bathroom vanity and heated bathroom, tall mirrored closet in master bedroom that was high enough to hang the wedding dress without it touching the floor, large windows in the family room to view the lake, and fully equipped kitchen. With that said, the cabin was clean, but could use a little TLC. The photos of the cabin did not exactly match the place in its current state. There were bright blue lights on the tree on the dock and family room featured a lot of pink and red cushions and artificial flowers, which were not accurately represented by the open white and gray aesthetic of the website photos. Ultimately, it was the prefect spot for our elopement, and we do not regret booking it. If you are booking for an event such as an elopement where there will be photos taken, do consider that the website photos may not fully reflect the current color scheme of the cabin. But again, overall we were very pleased with the cabin.
Somewhat rustic cabin on a small lake. Place was generally clean but could use some dusting of cobwebs. Layout was a bit strange but functional. Kitchen appliances all in working order. Lots of plates and cooking utensils. Boat dock a bit old and wobbly so use caution. Overall it was a great place and served our purpose.
We had a great time at this property! We were pleasantly delighted by the kayaks available—it was wonderful taking them out on the lake. Convenient location, easy to get to stores and restaurants and sites like Mount Rainier.
Such a cute and cozy cabin! We saw a bald eagle circling the lake the minute we got to the location. Great for a peaceful time to share with family and friends! Thank you Vicky!!!
