"Our visit blessed us with amazing weather as a beautiful back drop to this gorgeous place. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was so tasty and had a so many choices. The only thing I would not give 5 stars was the service at supper. The food was delish but we were shocked as the the lack of attention and help guiding us through the menu or suggestion local options. Perhaps it was the Swedish to be standoffish. "

"This is the third time staying here in 6/7 years. Clean, comfortable, basic but just what you need. We visit family close-by so its perfect. Right by the shops and walking streets, opposite the train-station (never hear the trains and its not a high speed mainline). They serve a awesome breakfast and excellent coffee. Love this hotel !"

"Comfortable and clean stay, everything functional, but no coffee or tea provided in room. Also did not receive the check-in info email, and had to contact the property by phone… not easy to do if you are travelling without an international plan / phone number."

"What a delightfully warm, interesting and tasteful hotel. It is full of charm, taste and hidden gems. From the superb restaurant, writing room, billiard table or just the evening spent playing cards in the vinyl room. I would recommend a detour to enjoy this excellent hotel. Finally the staff were first class, warm, genuine and very helpful. "

"Tredje gången vi besöker pensionat solhöjden. Lika nöjda varje gång. Sköna sängar, god frukost i mysig miljö. Bra lekmöjligheter för barnen utomhus och även en liten lekhörna där inne. Fin service! "

"The hostel was in a very old building. The kitchen was very nice with everything we needed. Our room, with two bunk beds was very small and rustic. The mattress and pillow were very worn. I think these rooms have had a lot of use and it shows. No light in the hallway. Many things needed attention, but it seemed like this operation has other priorities with its campground, cottages, and restaurant. The restaurant did offer a very good meal at a good price. "Our stay was decent overall. Even though the room needs an update it was spacious for a family of four. The breakfast buffet was nice with a wide variety of food. However the heating in the room was old school radiator heating and unfortunately one of the units was not working properly therefore our room was a little chilly during the night. "

"Enjoyed the atmosphere of the old manor. Wife and I enjoyed walking the grounds, eating great food for dinner and breakfast and not having any electronic distractions in the room (they have hi-speed wifi if you just need to get online). Staff and service was fantastic as were the views. The dinner was prepared with many ingredients grown right on the property."

"Hade bokat en campingstuga utan vatten och toa, som lyckades överträffa mina (rätt låga) förväntningar. Positivt med fräscha prylar såsom kyl, micro, kaffebryggare och vattenkokare. Engångsartiklar tallrikar, muggar och bestick. Mycket serviceminded personal som såg till att det blev en smidig "incheckning" trots att vi kom mitt i natten. "If you're looking for a quiet stay in beautiful surroundings this is the place for you. We loved the location and the newly built sauna. The main house is a little dated but still comfortable and cozy. The house closer to the lake housing a cozy lounge room and sauna is absolutely lovely and the outdoor shower a real treat. There is a very nice bathroom with a shower cubicle but we found the outdoor shower so nice that we used it more often. About 15 mins drive away you find Eksjö - a beatiful...
