Covid stopped us coming here in June, but the weather in September was excellent! The cottage was warm, spacious & comfortable, well-cleaned before our arrival, and the owner was very helpful. We had a great break, walking in the area and frequenting local pubs. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A lovely cottage, only slight disadvantage was light in the lounge, not possible to read by in evenings. Although the facilities in Frosterly were limited, it was in easy reach of the moors and countryside and other slightly larger villages and we found it all delightful. The Old Byre was clean and well equipped and we were warmly welcomed by the owner. The cottage was a very good base for visiting Durham, Newcastle and parts of the North Pennines. There are some very good walks directly from the cottage. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Brilliant cottage in a lovely location.
Brilliant cottage in a lovely location. We loved the games room and grounds as they kept the kids occupied. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need and the cottage was really clean and cosy.
