- Please do not park in the yard. Parking on the grass can damage underground utilities which are buried only 18 inches below the surface. Otherwise, you will be liable for field lines water lines and sewage line if you rupture them.

Guests will have access to their entire home, private outdoors, and garage. We do ask you do not go into the basement/crawl space as that is for access by our maintenance only.
The Neighborhood:
The scenic Glen Iris Park sits amid the neighborhood’s historic district and is privately owned by the historic homes that surround it. However, there’s still an incredible park in the neighborhood open to the public. George Ward Park is an 84-acre park featuring six lighted softball diamonds, which several amateur leagues and the UAB Blazers have used. The park has a tennis center with eight hard-surface outdoor courts managed by the Birmingham Area Tennis Association. Locals can spend the day playing at the park’s 24-hole disc golf course and those with canine companions can play at the dog park. Members of the Glen Iris Neighborhood Association and the Friends of George Ward Park organization are dedicated to caring for this beloved neighborhood spot. Just next to the UAB Intramural Field is Bessie Estell Park, named after long-time educator Bessie Sears Estell who was the first African-American woman to sit on the Birmingham City Council. Kids can hang out at the playground while the vine-covered circular pavilions provide the perfect setting for escaping into a novel. The entire park was designed with wheelchair accessibility in mind, providing an outdoor space for all in the community.
Glen Iris sits right next to the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s campus, making it highly convenient for students and faculty. We are thrilled to welcome you and your furry companion! Please note a pet fee of $75 per pet, along with an additional $300 deposit per pet, applies. Guests are responsible for managing all pet bathroom breaks, including those in the yard. To maintain a clean environment for all, we kindly ask that you promptly pick up any droppings; failure to do so may result in extra cleaning charges. If your pet tends to shed, please be mindful and avoid allowing them on the furnishings, as cleaning of certain fabrics can be time-consuming and costly. We also host guests with allergies, so thorough cleaning after pets is a top priority.
☞ Please do not move any furniture in the home - a charge will be billed if any pieces of furniture have been moved.
☞ If the house lists a BBQ, or Fire Pit, we do not propane tanks or fire wood.
☞ Please remove your shoes once inside the home.
