Was very easy to find and get to from central train stations. Perfect location if you’re staying to see anyone at O2 Academy! The guy who checked me in was friendly and professional. The room was very spacious and well presented. There were some minor things wrong with the room with fixtures and fittings, none of the bedside lights worked and the shower head had a gap in meaning when it was on it sprays water all over the place so have to be careful with the shower head. But the bed was very comfy, a nice smart TV in the room too and despite being on a main road I slept very well and would happily stay again if I’m ever in the area! Insanely good value for money!
I have returned to this property 3 times now , the staff are lovely the bar isn't noisy below the hotel and there's breakfast in the morning

As I was only staying one night, it did the job. There was a nice shower and the bed was comfortable. However, a number of basic amenities were missing that would make it difficult to stay here longer then a day or two - for example, there wasn't a closet or anywhere to store your clothes. There also wasn't a mirror in the room, only the one above the sink but I couldn't use that to do my hair or check my outfit for the event I was there for so I had to buy a travel mirror. The room was also located directly on a busy road so there was quite a bit of noise - they did provide earplugs though so that was a nice touch. Overall, for the cost it just wasn't quite up to standard.
It was clean and quite comfortable (bed was far to low) but we were ground floor next to the exit door, which was constantly slamming as other guests departed. Friendly welcoming staff.
Would i stay again ? Possibly, but not for £96.

Adv: close to Birmingham center.
Disadv: very small room, small bathroom, no bins, no lifts, no parking, can hear other person next door watching or speaking. Not for disabled people. No mich variety in breakfast too.
If you stay alone, possibly a okay cheap one.
It’s just a couple of very small rooms above a pub, chef did not turn up for breakfast so we were not even able to access the dinning area and had to go and pay for breakfast elsewhere although our booking included breakfast. It’s located on the main road so forget the idea of sleeping at night.
Good reception and for the price: cheap & cheerful.

Ok for one night
Room was ok for one night stay, room basic with bed, few wall hooks and tv. En-suite had shower and toilet. There was a kettle and tea/coffee sachets. There was a dash window which opened onto fire escape but there was no lock on window so not sure how secure room would be. The hotel is above the pub but didn’t have problems with any noise. The electrics set up wasn’t very practical and although safe wasn’t ideal
Inexpensive clean but crowd outside stays up late and loud

Unusual
I arrived at 2.40 and was told that I couldn't check in until 3( although whenever I've been anywhere else it's never been an issue). I was told that if I wanted to wait I'd have to buy a drink.
As soon as 3pm came around the same person said are you ready to check in now. Just totally pointless making me wait for the sake of it.
On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was a couple of slices of ham and cheese with a croissant but was ok
