This is where I usually stay when traveling to Birmingham to visit my daughter at UAB. The hotel is clean, rooms are big, staff is friendly, and the breakfast is good. Parking lot feels unsafe due to the surrounding area.

Perfect for a few days stay. The folks who work here are, without a doubt, friendly and efficient. Out of their control, though, is that the $23/night parking fee does not guarantee a spot in their lot, which is pretty frustrating.

The room was nice, but it is so noisy from the street that I had 4 nights of interrupted sleep even with white noise on max volume. Breakfast was below average, but the room was great. Someone was smoking weed in their room the whole time I was there, so my room smelled like weed. Hotel seemed to be apologetic about it, but they obviously can't control it to some degree. So, it was a mixed bag. Because of noise alone, I probably won't stay here again. The staff was very friendly, however.
