"The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things...

"Stayed fir 3 nights. With 10 adults. Lovley big house. Plently of room Comfortable beds. Some paintwork a.bit.shabby which was a shame. Only down side was it stated a clockroom i thought that.meant a downstairs toilet but it was just a place eto hang coats. This was difficult as some of the party was eldery and found the stairs difficult to navigate, butmon the whole we had a great.time."

"Great stay at Sandpipers. Lovely, peaceful cottage. Well equiped, clean and a great (private) garden. Unfortunately, the weather wasnt great so we couldnt make the most of it. Lots of great beaches and villages within a short drive away. Would look to stay again."

"A gorgeous and very comfortable house for me and my family( me, husband, 2.5 yr old and 5 month old). Great location for the beach and 20 min walk to St. Abbs. Lovely beds, very comfortable and the kitchen was really well equipped. It was so great to have loads of dishwasher tablets, washing machine pods and coffee pods!! Thank you!"

We thought we were going to be in the village based on the walking distances stated on the listing however nothing was in walking distance. "We stayed at the Abbey House for a few nights on our vacation to the UK. It was absolutely wonderful! The location is stunning and the town is so quaint. We wished we would have booked it to stay longer! The host was very communicative and even left little gifts for us upon arrival. We hope that one day we can stay there again."

"Great cottage, no suprises was exactly like the photos, so lovely, clean and had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Jacqui had left us a welcome basket which was very thoughtful, she popped by to see us too which was unexpected but lovely to meet her. Irs in a great area to visit Berwick which we loved and all the surrounding areas including the scottish borders. Bed was comfy, kitchen well equipped, garden private. We had a peaceful stay and would highly reccomend!"

"An ordinary looking property but great inside, tastefully done with everything you need, apart from milk for my cup of tea on arrival. Also had to search through the mugs to find ones which weren’t tea stained but a small negative as it was a good, pleasant place to stay. Lovely to sit in the garden and hear the birds singing. My main focus was to visit Holy Island and the causeway is just down the road. Bamburgh and Berwick also good places to visit. Communication/instructions all excellent."
