"This is a lovely friendly pub with excellent staff. The locals were welcoming as well. The beer brewed on the premises was excellent as was the food. I can't fault our stay there. Plenty of parking at the pub now, with a new car park. Handy travel time to Critch, Matlock and the Peak District. Located on the side of a steep hill, so walking anywhere is a good bit of exercise!"

"Hilary and Graham are very welcoming. We were contacted before arrival with directions. They even had a pot of tea ready when we arrived which was very much appreciated. Whatever your expectations are they will surely be met and exceeded. If you are looking for a quiet oasis to relax and retreat from the hustle of daily life, this is it.
