We loved this home and want to share why “THOUGHTFUL” is the best word to describe it. The VRBO pictures do a great job of setting expectations, but there were many extras that made it feel more like staying at a friend’s home than simply renting a house for a week.
• Propane for the outdoor grill, wood pile for the fire pit
• Snacks as a nice welcome
• Coffee and tea supplies
• TONS of beach supplies (chairs, wagon, “noodles”)
• Abundance of dishes, pans, silverware and utensils
• Lots of seating and large dinner table
• Huge TV’s in in the family area and each bedroom
• Plenty of A/C capacity!
• Huge bathrooms
• Cargo elevator to make getting your things upstairs a breeze
• Shade over parts of the pool, providing a break from the sun
• Property security...driveway gate for cars, pedestrian gate for walking
The location was great. It’s a relatively quiet spot between Gulfport and downtown Biloxi. We could get to Wal-Mart and the mall in no time. It’s also next door to “Beauvoir”, which was Jefferson Davis’s summer home. We took the tour and visited the museum and library there, which were very educational.
The beach is a five-minute walk, and there is a Circle K en route to the beach, which was nice. We felt like we had our own private beach with dunes and everything. I don’t think we saw 10 people on the beach all week. If you choose to vacation at this location, I think you’ll be glad you did and hope you agree thoughtfulness abounds!
