"Very convenient Old Town location with almost everything walkable. The hotel is old fashioned and perhaps a bit tired in some parts, but very charming. The rooms are big enough with decent storage, and the bathroom was excellent, although the shower over the bath might present a problem for some. Breakfast had a reasonable variety of hot and cold food, but some items were occasionally missing and the coffee machine was not particularly user friendly. Minor points not detracting from a good 9 day...

"Being in a convenient location right on a route of public transpot from Riga city center to the Airport makes it ideal place to rest before or after your flight. However the walls are quite thin and TV playing in the neighbouring room did not help to get a proper rest. The hotel offered well equiped complimentary breakfast, wich was a good surprise, as it was not mentioned on the booking. There are no swimming pool, but there is a spa, but visits must be booked in advance."

"Pleasant hotel, tidy and clean bedroom and bathroom. Continental style breakfast with a cooked egg/sausage/bacon option was adequate. Ten minutes walk from the centre. An English channel on the TV would have been nice, similarly milk to go with the coffee and kettle. "

"We had a fantastic stay in Grand Poet Hotel. We booked the Deluxe room and we were given room 419, which had a fantastic view over the park and Riga old town. There was plenty of room for 3 people including our son. Room was tastefully decorated and super clean. We utilized the valet parking which was really convenient. Charge was 30 Euros per night. Hotel was walking distance from everything, including all the nice restaurants in the old town. SPA was nice, but a bit overcrowded at all times....

"Perfect location close to all the major landmarks and shopping street with many food options. How quaint is this hotel - it is actually part of the convent and the rooms now converted to hotel! Felt amazing to be staying within a part of history. Rooms are modern and clean and tastefully decorated. We loved our room, that it had a mini divider between bedroom and living room which was great for 3 of us sharing. Bed was comfy and the sofa bed was great!
