DETAILS: Experience an unforgettable escape at Moondance Lodge, a luxurious 5-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom retreat that sleeps 13 in the Mountain Village community. Offering ski-in/ski-out access to White Otter/Cascade Lift, this lodge is only 5 minutes from Big Sky Resort. With an expansive deck and stunning views, guests will love dining outside, lounging in Adirondack chairs, or unwinding in the private hot tub.

Step inside this magnificent 3-story lodge, where tall cathedral ceilings and an impeccable wall of windows welcome guests inside the second-floor great room. The living area has a stunning stone fireplace, plush furniture, and a 50" TV with surround sound for perfect movie night. The traditional dining area, with a rustic antler chandelier, seats 6 guests, and additional nearby table seats 6 more. The kitchen features high-end GE appliances, 3-stool breakfast bar, and spacious kitchen island. The sunroom, with ample seating, leads out to the wraparound deck with Adirondack seating and a hot tub to provide relaxation. A partially covered area provides a Weber grill and 6-person dining table. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the mudroom, accessible via the garage, with 10 boot dryers, hooks for storing skiing or hiking gear, and a washer and dryer. Above the garage is a guest bedroom with 4 twin beds and a private bathroom.

The first floor features a family-friendly game room with a wet bar, pool table, and 55” TV with an Xbox. This level also includes 3 bedrooms—2 guest bedrooms with queen beds, one with a private bathroom, and 1 kid-friendly bunk room boasting a twin-over-full bed and full trundle.

On the third floor is a luxurious primary bedroom with a king bed, 40” TV, private bathroom, and balcony. An open office in the loft includes a desk and printer.

Moondance Lodge promises the ultimate Big Sky getaway. With a 2-car garage, plus 3 spots in the driveway, it’s easy to explore Big Sky Resort for world-renowned skiing or Yellowstone National Park for scenic wildlife. For ski-in/ski-out access, cross Beehive Basin Road to the groomed run on the right and follow it to White Otter Lift. From the top, ski to the base area of Mountain Village. To return via Lower Morningstar, take White Otter Trail to Cascade Lift's base. Follow the groomed run left to Middle Rider Road and Black Moon Road intersection. Moondance Lodge is on the right. Moondance in BIG SKY is the best place for large families or multiple families staying near Big Sky. The home is approximately 10 minutes from the ski resort and offers a wealth of amenities from kitchen appliances, to nice soaps and dishwasher tablets provided by the rental company. The local grocery store (Roxy's Market) is about 15 minute drive into town (plus - check out other cute shops while you're there). We were about 1.5 from the West Entrance of Yellowstone and 2.5 hours from the North Entrance. Bears will often come near the back porch so please beware when outside. The house also backs up to the Beehive Basin Hike which is lovely. Neighbors are very quiet. You have a perfect view of Lone Peak Mountain and the resort. This is not a ski-in/ ski-out location however so please note! Overall, a lovely, well-stocked, convenient home.

Big Sky Family Reunion
I could not say enough about this property. We rented it for two weeks this Summer and had my family up the first week, and my wife's the second. Bedrooms were great but the open space and loft- not to mention the wrap around deck- gave everyone a place to hang out and re-connect. Cousins playing, in-laws playing cards, and everyone cooking together was amazing. Probably the best investment I have made in a family vacation.

Big Sky President's Week
This property was spacious with breathtaking views of the mountains. It was very easy to get to Madison Base as well as Mountain Village although we did not try the ski in / ski out option (it looked like a lot of poling from the maps). The house came equipped with cooking essentials as well as cleaning which meant less groceries to buy. The mud room also made it easy to drop off ski gear each day and not track snow all through the house. The kids loved going outside to play in the snow, whether in the yard, driveway or multiple decks - no shortage of options for them.

Amazing place but unprofessional and not informed management.
The location, place and overall experience was good. Place itself is just amazing ! Don’t take me wrong, but the management was specifically contacted 2 months in advance to let me know if the couch which you can see on the pictures from the office room is a couch or a loveseat. (From the pictures you can’t simply see if it is a full couch or smt else). The management was not sure and later told me that it was a loveseat. I cut one person off the trip cuz he simple did not want to sleep on the floor with his girl, and other rooms were taken by married couples. When we arrived to the house we figured out that the office room had a pull out couch, and not a love seat. Just upset with uninformed management. And sad for a friend who did not make it to the winter trip which we planned so much time ahead. Gas was not filled up in the grille either, so we had to make all the bbq in our own way.
