Transaction from booking to checkout went well.
Place was clean and quiet. Made for a peaceful stay. Restaurants and grocery stores convenient, just a few minutes away.
Delightful secluded cabin with all that you need for your stay and check in and check out was seamless and host very friendly and responsive. Beautiful view of the Muskegon River. Locals were friendly, close to Big Rapids for a run in to a restaurant if that's what you want to do.
We had a great stay. We needed some peace and quiet.. boy this place fit the bill. We truly enjoyed soaking in the hot tub. As we watched the jet skis and pontoons going by.
We also went to Schuberg’s for a great burger..
We will definitely be back!

Not what is was advertised.
Our first impression was it was wide open. The neighbors watched us whenever we were outside. The entire back yard was littered with dog crap, discarded building supplies, beer caps. No worries, we won't be back.
My family stayed here over the weekend while we visited family. This cottage was perfect! It was in a quiet area as well as riverfront. It also had plenty of space for my family
Convenient location just a few miles from town. Quiet, peaceful, lovely location on the river. Amazing views of the sunrise over the river both from inside the cabin, and out on the decks!
I had an absolutely wonderful stay. When I arrived, it was becoming clear that it was going to snow overnight and then get very very cold. I was thankful to have restaurants and grocery stores close! After stocking up for the weekend, I just stayed put, and relaxed, and really enjoyed the view of the river as I sipped tea and let the world melt away. Didn’t get to XC ski or FatBike, I was just too cozy. Maybe next time. Definitely will be a next time. This was just what I needed:)
We loved this little cottage with the lovely view of the river. We thoroughly enjoyed the little place and the peacefulness at night. My daughter and I both sat on the perch closer to the river and enjoyed the nature. Speaking of nature, are only suggestions, if that the steps to the river were a bit sticky with sap and we were greeted by some ants that seemed to come into the house each time we opened the door. Not sure what can be done about the latter since it is out in nature :). All and all, very happy we rented it.

Nice
Irst thing when we arrived the neighbors house was less than 100 yrds from the side of house and quite visible. The house smelled of old cigarette smoke. The inside window sills were all dirty and needed cleaned. The fishing was impossible due to trees that had fallen across water. They had been there for years.

Not for along stay
We were booked for a little under two months, but my husband had a health issue and we ended up there for 6 weeks. When you are staying that long you do not wish to go out to eat every nigh and we found a lack of acceptable restaurants in Big Rapids. The place was lacking in cooking utensils. There were no casserol dishes, no mixing bowls and blasting brush. (These items I bought myself and left for the next tenants.) The knives were dull. When I told the owner, the reply was the place is not set up for gourmet cooking. There was a decent set if pots and pans and a acceptable amount of plates, flatware and drinking glasses
There was not a dresser in either bedroom. There was a bar to hang pants and shirts from in one bed room, but the closet looked so dirty I would not put my close in it.The same room had a coffee table to put your close on. The bed to the left had no were to put your close on.
The mattress in the to the right was shot. It had a definite butt print and was lumpy on the door side. The window side of the bed was ok.
The only piece of furniture that was at all comfortable was the bed in the first bedroom. You could not see the river while inside except from one dining room chair.
My husband would not be able to fish from the dock because of a fallen tree.
I came to see old friends
