Can we cook at the cabin?
You'll love the flexibility of being able to go out or stay in to cook. We stock our kitchen with pots, pans, plates, glassware, utensils. If you're unsure about what we might have, ask us. The kitchen boasts a gas stove and oven, which will give you the ability to whip up a beautiful brunch.
We provide a coffeemaker, toaster, and microwave.
Is the fireplace functional?
Oh yes! It'll keep you warm on the coldest of nights. It is a wood-burning fireplace. Pick up some firewood from any of the local grocery stores or gas stations along with a Duraflame log, and you'll be feeling the mountain vibes throughout the evening.
Should I bring linens or towels?
Nobody wants to travel with their sheets and pillowcases. Our linens will rival any hotel, and our cleaning crew will take care of everything when you leave. We provide linens for all beds. In addition, we wash every piece of bedding before your visit. We'll also make sure there's plenty of towels.
Can we "work" from the Blue Bear Lodge?
Who can live without Wifi? Not you. Barring issues with the carrier, the Blue Bear Lodge boasts 100 Mbps download speed and 15 Mbps upload speeds. Stay on top of work with the most astounding zoom background.
What's the television/movie situation?
TV is optional in Big Bear, but you won't miss anything on our 50 inch HD T.V. It's equipped with cable and streaming channels. There's plenty to watch if you want to.

Guests will have access to the entire cabin and common area in the back of the lodge. You'll enjoy access to the first two parking spots at the lodge.
We like to give our guests space to enjoy their stay but are always available.
The lake is the closest attraction in this desirable neighborhood. Walk to Holloway’s Marina and jump on a pontoon boat for a sunset cruise. Enjoy short drive to Big Bear Lake Village where dining and shopping are the main attraction. Having easy access to the local ski resorts in the winter is key and the Blue Bear Lodge provides it. You'll only be 2 miles from Snow Summit and 4 miles from Bear Mountain Resort.
Here, snow and sun line the streets. Skis, snowboards, mountain bikes, hiking boots, and boats are the preferred mode of transportation.
You'll be staying in a separate cabin on a shared lot with four other cabins that constitute the Blue Bear Lodge.
Please Note: To enter the bathroom, you must walk through the master bedroom.
The maximum number of cars you can bring with you is two. The first two spaces in the lot are designated for you.
Please Note: For the safety of all guests, video monitors the exterior of the lodge.
Per the City of Big Bear Lake Vacation Rental Code, Exceeding the occupancy limit or partying can result in a $500 fine or eviction.
Per the City of Big Bear Lake Vacation Rental Code, noise heard at the property line at any point during your stay can result in a $500 fine.
Per the City of Big Bear Lake Vacation Rental Code, parking is limited to 2 cars and must be parked in the designated spaces. Parking on the street or exceeding the number of cars permitted can result in a $500 fine and eviction.
Trash:
Per the City of Big Bear Lake Vacation Rental Code, GUESTS must bring all trash to 39690 Big Bear Blvd., Big Bear Lake, CA 92315.
Failure to remove trash will result in a $25 fee per bag or $150 whichever is larger.
For sanitation reasons, all guests must wash any dishes they may have used while at the house. Please use the dishwasher when appropriate. Failure to wash dishes will result in a $50 charge.
Early Check In-Late Check-Out:
We appreciate that you'd like to spend as much time as you can at our cabin, and at times we can provide an early check-in and late check-out for an additional fee. If you've not paid this fee and confirmed by us that you can check in early or check out late, you're not permitted to check in to the cabin before 3 p.m. and must check out at 11 a.m. We reserve the right to charge your security deposit if you enter before 3 p.m. or stay beyond 11 a.m.
Smoking:
Please, please do not smoke in our cabin. If the cleaning crew smells smoke after your visit, there is an excess charge of $250.
Due to the high fire danger in Big Bear outdoor fires, campfires, hand-built fires are illegal. Any evidence of this type of fire will result in a $500 fine and eviction.
By booking this stay, all guests release the management company and owner of the property from any and all liability for the unintentional exposure or harm due to COVID-19.
**During the winter, snow and ice can impact driving conditions in Big Bear. It's the law that all vehicles carry chains during this time in case of a storm. We recommend that all guests visiting carry chains and become familiar with putting them on their vehicle during this time. Learning for the first time in a snowstorm can be challenging. If you have any questions about chains, the laws, or driving conditions, don't hesitate to contact us.
