Home located in downtown Big Bay across from Draver Park. Home was built in 1926 as a school house, located on a large private 1+ acre lot. Plenty of room for vehicles, trailers and campers. Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ATV riding, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, and so much more awaits you. Thunder Bay Inn, Big Bay Lighthouse, Lumberjack Bar, Bay Cliff Health Camp, Huron Mountains, Perkins State Park, Thomas Rock, several trails, rivers and waterfalls to explore. Big Bay is 25 miles from Marquette, MI, only a 30 minute drive along County Road 550. Visting the Yellow Dog river
Clean cottage,very quiet location, within minutes of a beach at lake Superior and trailhead to the Yellow Dog river in the McCormick wilderness.

Another great stay in Big Bay!
This was my second trip staying at this home. The host is very responsive and pleasant to work with. The home is clean, cozy and is stocked with small amenities such as spices, antibiotic ointment, bug spray and recreation maps of the area. I visit Big Bay multiple times a year this is now the first place I check for availability!

We enjoyed this peaceful home! It was the perfect size for two adults and one toddler. There were family games to play along with a good sized yard to have fun in. There were several personal touches that made our arrival and stay very pleasant.

Great fall getaway in Big Bay
We loved our stay in Big Bay- the house was clean, in a good location, and was exactly as listed. This property is close to so many hiking trails and places to explore. We really appreciated the small touches in the house- brochures and info about the surrounding area, books about northern Michigan, and a kitchen well-equipped to cook in. We hope to stay there again sometime in the future!

Cozy home in the UP
The house was clean, the beds comfortable, and the beach chairs were nice. It is a great location. Just a short five minute drive to beaches on Lake Superior and Lake Independence. The historic Thunder Bay Inn is only two blocks away.

A wonderful stay!
We had such a great time staying in downtown Big Bay at this cozy and convenient property. We had everything we could have needed or wanted including Caribou Coffee! (Minnesotans love our Caribou :) ) The location was perfect and quiet, the home was clean and spacious. Having a great space to stay made our trip that much better and more enjoyable.

Great weekend in Big Bay
We had a great weekend with family in the area. The location of the house was ideal, it’s in town but has a wooded rural setting. The town walking trails are a short walk from the house and it was fun just walking around town checking out the local history. We also found some deals at the church bazaar in town. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean.

Peaceful Place
Home is tucked in a quiet neighborhood. Surrounded by some woods giving it a private feel. Enjoyed seeing deer come right into the yard. Inside is decorated nice and owner provides many amenities to accommodate the stay. Overall a nice place to vacation and close to many fun places to explore!

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay in this house. It’s a small but well kept little house that was sufficient for our needs. The host provided a roll away bed so we could sleep 6. Communication with the host was excellent.

Wonderful place to stay and to see the Northern Lights!
This property was perfect for our company of three. It was well furnished with comfortable beds, sofa, and chairs. We really appreciated the washer and dryer since we had been on the road for several days. The roads to Marquette were excellent because shopped and ate there several times. Highly recommend it in part because we all had the Northern Lights on our Bucket Lists and went out in the cornfield across the street and saw a beautiful display around 11pm.

Had 2 spiders, 4 ticks that we killed inside the house and there was a lot of ticks on the outside of the house also. Will never stay there again.

Weekend get away
The cottage was adorable, very clean and well stocked with comfort items. The kids loved the the available tennis rackets to use at the near by courts. We had visitors whom also own VRBO, they were also very impressed. Big Bay has much to do, especially the beach nearby, bike trails, and hiking! We couldn’t do it all!

It was exactly how they described it. Very cute! Sleeps 5 No dressers or closets in either bedroom. Just a large bar to hang up clothes. Which was fine for just the 2 of us. We laid things out on the extra beds. Could use a few extra blankets thou. Internet was in and out a lot. But you are really up there. A early check in time might be nice. Like 1 or 2 .check in was 4:00 Would recommend.

Amazing Stay in Beautiful Location
The property was amazing and newly renovated. The host provided all of the necessary supplies, including a few unexpected ones like toiletries, sunscreen, and bug/insect spray. We also appreciated the lawn/camping chairs as they were useful when we visited family at the local campgrounds. The WiFi connection was great when I had to work for a few hours. The smart TVs were very useful during a rainstorm and downtimes. Since we stayed almost a week, it was great having the washer and dryer available. As we're a family of 4, we really appreciated having enough towels and wash clothes for everyone without having to wash them frequently. The shower was nice and had enough water pressure, though it was affected if water was used in other parts of the house. The beds were nice and comfortable. We can't say enough nice things about the house and host. We definitely enjoyed our stay and we would recommend it to others.
