I have to put this up front - the property, amenities and location are excellent. No expense has been spared regarding the furnishings, kitchen, etc. Extremely comfortable. Now, here are some things to be aware of.
The apartment is located on the 4th floor at the top of a spiral staircase. There is no elevator, so keep that in mind when you have to take luggage up and down. You are not allowed to drive a vehicle up to the property after 10am and before 6pm - and because of check in / check out times, you will have to park your vehicle and walk your luggage to the building. Parking is around $30 for 24 hours nearby.
There is a restaurant on the ground floor, which is supposed to be one of the best in the area, but during the day when they are prepping, and in the evening when they are open, you cannot use the side entry door to access the stairway - you have to walk through the restaurant.
Once you get into the apartment, it has a spacious main floor, with excellent furnishings, a state of the art kitchen with everything you need to dine in. The bedroom and master bath is located up in the roof area on a mezzanine deck. They have ensured that you don't accidently fall down the stairs in the middle of the night by installing a clever safety barrier - i suggest using it!
The master bed is located on a raised platform, so be careful when getting up in the middle of the night.
The bathroom is small, but like everything else, it is all custom and made with incredible attention to detail.
They have a state of the art sound system, which streams music on demand. There is a nice balcony patio with a table and chairs, which when the weather permits, will be very nice to eat on. Space for clothes, etc is limited, so keep that in mind when packing.
Overall, it was a good experience, staying in an historic building that has been renovated so incredibly well.
