Cosy one-bed cottage in the heart of Gascony

A mixture of traditional French country cottage and modern home comforts, the Alouette shares the grounds with a second 3-bed gite, Faucon and our farmhouse. We have private parking and a secure space to store bikes and roof boxes. The large pool is fully enclosed (gate and lock) and is shared with the other guests (and ourselves), along with the beautiful gardens, boasting stunning sunsets. The Alouette has a private terrace with a coal barbeque for outside dining. The cottage boasts a modern fully-equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge-diner with smart TV, free WIFI, a large bedroom with a 160x200cm bed (fitted mosquito nets, cooling machine and fans for a good night's sleep) and ensuite walk-in shower. There is a second toilet on the ground floor. All sheets and towels are provided, but we ask you to bring your own swimming towels. Dogs are very welcome - we have a friendly French female bulldog, and the grounds are fully enclosed with a secure gate. The closest town with all amenities, bars, restaurants and a lake (with slides and water sports) is just a 5-8 minute drive away. There are larger towns 15-30 minutes' drive away. A car is a must (we offer electric charging at an extra cost). We are 30 minutes from Auch train station, 50 minutes from Agen train station and 1h15 from Toulouse airport. The area is full of fantastic wineries, and we will be happy to recommend some good domaines to taste and buy wine (or beer). Other activities in the area include canoeing, golf, cycling and walking. We are keen runners and cyclists and can recommend a number of routes through the endless fields of sunflowers and vineyards. Or you can simply enjoy one the of the many festivals or local markets in the area.
