"One of the great grand hotels in America. Gorgeous reception, restaurant & ballrooms evoke bygone days. Staff always greet, serve & treat you like a celebrity (and I’ve met a few here before). Rooms are small but elegant. Because of a city water main repair, bathroom water initially flowed yellowish but cleared up after awhile & staff notified us of the temporary issue at registration. Otherwise, the best hotel in the vicinity."

"Hotel was quiet and comfortable. Be aware they are doing some remodeling in the common areas. Our beds were very comfortable, not too hard, not too soft. I would definitely stay here again. Evelyn (at the front counter) was very sweet and friendly. Breakfast was standard hotel fair but the bagels were really good and the bacon was crispy. "
