The inn is very cute and we enjoyed our stay. The so-called continental breakfast, however, was very disappointing. There were just a few very mundane options to choose from, so we paid money to eat elsewhere.
Beautiful, tastefully restored historic home. I felt completely 'at home' in this grand property. Close to Sunday River Ski Resort, but far enough to feel like you're having two vacations at once. I would definitely stay here again.
This is a great option in Bethel. Close to restaurants so you can walk. Very clean and room was large and even though on street very quiet. Restaurant/bar wasn’t open yet but I would Highly recommend!
Charming and relaxing. Wonderful front porch. The grounds are a bit messed up now due to construction of a side deck, which looks like it will be a spectacular restaurant setting when it's done.
Elegant, comfortable building. Great staff, and dinner was excellent, as was breakfast. A couple little glitches with our room: a little too warm for us, one electrical wall outlet not operation.
Stayed here to do some leaf looking. The staff was exceptionally helpful and made us feel right at home. The restaurant has great food and service as well. Room was very cozy although it could use shelf space in the bathroom and maybe an extra chair in the room. It was raining one afternoon so we checked out the Maine Mineral and Gem museum - very interesting visit. One of a number of nearby attractions. Hope to be back to the Elizabeth soon.

The outside is being remodeled ,looks promising
The inside is just ok
The room smells and has ancient wall paper. ? Carpet stinks. Tiny bathroom. Its breakfast was ok. Nothing cooked, granola and toasted bagel were good.
Clean building and room. Construction on patio was ongoing so dinner was unavailable and breakfast was simple grains set up continental. Room had a window ac that did well for the space. Hallway air was a little stuffy near the rooms from lack of circulation. AC in dining area was quite comfortable. Staff were courteous and helpful. Roku TV in room was neat.
Liked comfortable bed and pleasant staff. Had a bit of problem with check in but they asked us by phone call when we thought would arrive and we weren't sure but arrived earlier than we initially thought. Had to leave a couple messages before they responded. Would be nice to have a chair in room and place to set suitcase to open, also hook in bathroom. No place to hang up clothes. Breakfast was extended contenital and good, especially the coffee.
Do it! Book a room! The town it's self is pretty small and quiet so if you are looking for a lot of shopping and stuff this may not be the place for you. The walls are thin since it's an old house so we could hear our neighbors in the common area. The house and rooms are beautiful and the host is very helpful and friendly. We had an issue with a curtain rod falling and she got it fixed same day. There is a lot of space to sit and relax and boardgames to play. Coffee and tea served all day. There is Netflix, Hulu, Prime, and Disney plus available. We ate at the butcher burger place and had a great dinner. They have a binder with some info about scenic drives you can take and they were beautiful. So much value for you buck. I definitely recommend booking here.

So-So
It was OK- sorry but I would not return. Our room had a musty smell (I think there was a plug-in air freshener but we don't like strong fragrances and we couldn't open window without bugs coming in) and AC unit in window was very noisy.
Our mattress was not great- we rolled together into the middle so I think it is worn out and needs replacing. Coffee at breakfast was not very good. Breakfast options were cold cereal, instant oatmeal, homemade granola, muffins/pastries, some fruit and yogurt and juice. We also didn't have washcloths in our bathroom- only 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel...

No Service
No one was present during the check-in window; I called and was advised to get the room key out of a closet.
Dining room had not been fulled cleared from that the morning breakfast (half bagel in toaster/bowl full of empty creamers).
There was no service for the first days breakfast (offer of water for table/jam for toast). We ended up going behind the bar and taking a bottle of water from a frig.
Second morning when ready to checkout, the employee did not know how to run our credit card or provide a receipt.
In our two-day stay, the owners never reached out to make contact, inquire about our stay, or see if we needed anything.
Beautiful common areas with a ton of potential, but the weirdest service model I've ever experienced..
