"We had a great time in the Black River Retreat! I had intended to ski at Big Powderhorn, which is very close to the cabin, but unfortunately they ended their season early. Luckily for me Snowriver was still open and is still only a short drive away, but I am glad I booked here rather than someplace closer to Snowriver. It is a fairly small cabin; probably not big enough for more than one couple alone or with only young kids, but it is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The internet was also surprisingly fast (use the 5G, not the 2G for best speeds). We didn't have time to enjoy the firepit, but it was a nice setup that I would have loved to try out if we had stayed another day or two. The only complaint I had is that the color of the ceiling in the loft made it a bit hard to judge distance in low light, which caused a couple head bumps at my height. However, my dislike for turning lights on if I can avoid it is also to blame there, so I can't be too upset about it. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back for another ski trip or a summer visit to the parks."

"Perfect place for our family. While the interior is dated, its clean and has everything you need. Great location! Food, shopping and restaurants are close; theres a Kwik Trip and bar/restaurant/bowling ally within walking distance. My only conplaint is that the pool area was very hot/humid, but I'd prefer that over it being cold, so not really a conplaint. Would stay here again! "
