Wurthmann House Unit #1 Your Home Away From Home

The charming building has a rich history with origins dating back to as early as the mid-1800s. The original structure burnt down and was rebuilt in 1918, but it is believed that parts of the early foundation still remain. It has operated as numerous businesses and has seen a handful of owners throughout its life. This newly-restored two bedroom suite upstairs features chestnut window and floor trim, hardwood floors, locally-made Amish furniture, and beautiful views of historic downtown Berlin.

Relaxing Weekend!
We spent a very relaxing weekend in Holmes w/my husband's parents that were visiting OH from Oregon. The leaves in were their prime and your home was the perfect place to unwind in the evening! We appreciated how clean and comfortable everything was and the special little touches! Your location was nice too. Thank you!

Felt like home!
We stayed at The Wurthman house Unit #1. From the minute we walked in it just felt so comfortable and like home. So tastefully and beautifully decorated as though someone is actually living there. Beds were comfortable and pillows fluffy. There was a washer and dryer in this unit which was a nice surprise! Our stay was too short for it but good to know for future stays as we'll definitely return. We'll likely return for short stays as my only two negatives....couch was uncomfortable to lounge on and no stove for extended stays for preparing our own meals. I don't prefer microwave cooking but others might. All and all, it was a great place to stay. Oh, i almost forgot...a reserved Parking spot for each unit was an especially nice touch. Thank you! wereweccomfortable

This is a five star++++ property!
Beautiful place with a wonderful location. It is even better than it looks online & it's beautiful online too! The owner has added so many wonderful touches and amenities. The story beyond the restoration of this property is captivating. The owners had such good vision. Sitting outside on the porch was amazing under the blue skies & catching up! A wonderful mother/daughter weekend with great shopping & restaurants. All walkable! And final favorite thing was the old push button light switches all updated & modern. Everything here was so intentional & well thought out!!

Cool little place
I'd stay there again! If your stay is to be in the heart of Amish country this place works. Really nice accommodations and sitting on the upstairs deck watching people go by was entertaining and relaxing. I don't have any suggestions that would have made our stay any better, everything was Great. Just be prepared for everything in town to be closed on Sunday, after all it's Amish country.

This was our second stay at the Wurthmann house, and we absolutely loved it both times! The atmosphere is wonderful, clean and beautiful! The owners were very quick to answer the few times we messaged them. The location is perfect. We hope to stay many more times.
