Toss the day's swimsuits in the private washer/dryer and head out to the backyard to fire up the gas grill for a barbecue. On hot days, the partial AC will keep the home nice and cool.

When hunger starts to hit, you can put the fully equipped kitchen to work to keep your crew fueled up and on the go. With standard appliances, white cabinets, and a convenient butcher-block island, you'll be able to whip up a palate-pleasing meal in no time! Pour a nightcap and tell some stories under the starry night sky as the flames dance in the outdoor firepit.

As the day winds down, this three-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom home will easily play host to up to 10 guests. There are two bedrooms that will greet you with soft queen-size beds. The third room has a double-over-double bunk bed for your youngsters. The finished third floor features two twin beds, an additional sitting area with TV, and a foosball table.

The kids (or the kid in you) will love the many amusement parks nearby - give Frontier Town, Grand Prix, and Baja a try. Head to Assateague Island National Seashore, explore by bike, or go horseback riding. Golfers will have a hay day trying out the many scenic championship-level courses in the area. And when you're in the mood for dining out, check out Hooper's Crab House for a multitude of seafood classics.

DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY!!
If i could give everything a 0 rating i would. This rental property was nothing short of horrific. There were so many issues if i list them all it would be a 3 page letter just like my email was to the property listing. To start this whole house basically leans. we said it was like alice in wonderland. It’s very apparent when entering the home. let’s see how i can break this down to fit in here to help you out. Rusted pool that was broken and not cleaned. black mold air conditioners. VERY black mold Dirty house, electric wires exposed outside in the yard, kitchen counters coming off the wall, nails exposed on the steps in the carpet, broken blinds, gross bedding, house was not clean, dead bugs in the room, the whole is leaning, broken furniture, unsecured railing going up the steps, corroded batteries in carbon monoxide detector, and some more. this house isn’t worth a $1. the property group that owns it is impossible to get ahold of and no one responds to you to fix the unsafe and health hazards in the home. the listing photos are fake. the house does not look that well kept because it isn’t and probably hasn’t been cleaned or touched in months or even years given the amount of black mold in the air conditioners. Save your money and find somewhere else. Horrible horrible house & owners. we had to go buy our own bedding and cleaning products to clean the home since there was no where else for us to go. do yourself a favor and stay far away.

Might have been okay 20 years ago, hot tub didn't work
TLDR: House is old (in not a cute way), broken (or one strong breeze from being broken), cheap, and possibly dangerous. Complaints in previous reviews not fixed. The hot tub was ice cold the whole weekend (our main reason for picking this house - please don't pick it expecting to use the hot tub). Full review: This house is thoroughly "meh". As soon as we arrived we nicknamed the house "Tilty" because the house leans so much. There is obvious structural damage that would never pass an inspection. I don't know if it is safe or not, but I also know that there are nails in the steps (stepped on them several times, hopefully they weren't rusty or had someone else's blood on them), and the floors are extremely uneven. Our guess is this is a house someone inherited and knew they couldn't sell and no one wanted to live in it so they covered up things with bright paint and decided to rent it out. All the furniture is fairly barebones/ cheap/old except maybe the kitchen table. Some parts of it felt like the owners hadn't visited in years - entire windows and screens missing in the 1st sun room letting wind and bugs in, wood pealing off the walls and sticking out, and everything was extremely cheaply made. The name of the game of this place is "It looks nice, but don't touch or it could break". Also the other sun room was filled with junk, so we couldn't use either of the sun rooms. The heat is via floor boards that are sometimes hard to reach, but I don't recommend staying in winter at all. We visited end of March and were still cold. There is not central AC, just window units for parts of the house (not the whole house). The doors will blow open if not deadlocked (hard to do when you're inside and outside). Past reviews mentioned the toaster being broken - it still is, and there are still only 2 spoons and zero forks and knives. I had thought that the owners would read the reviews and fix the situation, but they clearly don't care. Don't expect anything written in this review or any others to be fixed by the time you rent this. The house is not equipped enough for cooking, so bring your own supplies. We were able to still have a nice trip despite the flaws of the house, but would not choose to stay here again, nor recommend it to anyone else. Ocean City itself, including the boardwalk and restaurants were enjoyable. It looks pretty in the pictures, but we recommend you stay elsewhere.

Fun family getaway
The hot tub was what drew us to this property. Worked well the first day, but the 2nd day we had found the heating element had shut off & when we figured out how to turn it back on, we realized it would've taken hours to warm up to the desired temp again. Somewhat disappointing. Also, paper supplies were at a bare minimum, as well as kitchen utensils & pots/pans. Only 3 spoons in the entire house, no other utensils! Otherwise a welcoming & comfortable stay.

Great house with hot tub
The backyard is an oasis. We really really enjoyed our stay here. Multiple TVs let everyone choose what they wanted to watch. The kids loved the attic. Great location, 20 min to ocean city.

Nice, clean, and out off the mess of the city
This place is everything it is advertised. Old house gives that nice antique feeling, yet up to date with appliances and everything else. Everything was very clean for us when we got there and check in process was a breeze. Also out back is a cool area to hang out and the hot tub is very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

All over nice place
We had a very nice relaxing time, the neighborhood very quiet and the hot tub was wonderful. The only negative comments I can make is the toaster didn’t work and the listing stated there was a hair dryer but couldn’t find it. They are very minor things, again overall a nice place to stay.

The overall weeeknd was amazing!! When we arrived it was night time so it was pretty scary and dark. We were met with a litter of flies which stayed the weekend with us. The upstairs bathroom smelled like a ceasepool but after using bleach to clean it was manageable. We did have to kill a few bugs during the night but it was not a big deal. The next day we were about to see the beautiful property and enjoy the lounging areas. My advice to the owner or management company is to open the house up and air it out prior to guest arrival, get new linens( thank God we bought our own) and do something about the bugs issue. I would definitely stay again I just wish the maintenance was a little bit better. Don’t like my two stars stop you from staying here.

Insanely messy house that was unsafe, management company tried to make it right but fell short
My group showed up to the house and the entire place had some form of mess in every room. Took 22 pictures of issues!!! Major issues: 1) Clothes in the dryer 2) box of crabs out in the porch 3) beds unmade 4) suitcases open from previous guests and half-packed 5) pony fenced in in the backyard that was abandoned when the owners/previous tenants ran out of the house 6) front door was unlocked 7) fridge was full of food (were not able to put our own perishables in the fridge when we got there) 8) hot tub was not cleaned or chlorinated This property had a multitude of issues and that was before factoring OUR SAFETY as guests. As far as we know, the previous occupants could have come back and then there might have been an issue with them. I called the management company for the property and they would not take me seriously and offered reimbursements that were not to my liking (free meal, 15%, 25%, then 50% off). They said they would only be able to offer a full refund if we cancelled the reservation and booked with another company/renter. As we were a party of 5, getting a property with the space that we wanted AND CONTRACTUALLY AGREED UPON, we would have to pay an exorbitant amount of money and especially because booking another place would be super last minute. The 2 cars that we traveled in were full of perishable items that we thought would be able to survive when we made it our destination so the food loss was a monetary loss, as well. The fridge had a lot of food from the previous tenants so using the fridge was out of the question and extremely dirty. HomeAway customer service was very helpful in connecting me with the nearby manager, so I have no concerns with HomeAway customer service. The local manager insulted me time after time with counteroffers (I do not blame her, as she is forced to follow guidelines), which really put a damper on the experience...but again, I'm not mad at her. Telling us that they will only be able to offer a full refund if we cancel and book somewhere else is EXTREMELY INSULTING and very unappreciated and demonstrated their unwillingness to issue a full refund. They were able to find us an unused, available rental but it was not to the specifications that we had originally agreed to (we were looking for open-air to play disc golf but we were confined to a townhouse once relocated) Do not stay here. If you want to know who the Property Management company is, feel free to use the email in my profile

Exactly as listed. Beautiful!!
Brooklyn's Cottage is a cute little farmhouse nestled close to everything but quiet and serene. The patio was just perfect for a fire and good friends. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. The house had everything we needed for our trip. We would recommend staying here to anyone who wants to visit either Ocean City or Assateaque but would like to come back to peace and quiet without the hustle and bustle of the crowds. Thanks Brooklyn for sharing your cute cottage with us 😊❤️
