Affordable and well located.
Convenient located if you want to enjoy gay Berlin. Close to a subway station. Easy access to anywhere. Rent a bike at hotel - the best way to enjoy this vibrant city.

Clean and comfortable but also dated and strange
Stayed here for 3 nights in May. Room was large and clean with a good shower. Location was also great with easy access to the u-Bahn. However the hotel does need to be updated to the 21st century! Nevertheless for the price, location and friendly staff I would happily stay there again.

Wonderful Hotel
My wife and I booked this hotel primarily due to it's location. Less than 1 mile to the Zoo, Shopping Malls, and quite a few other entertainment locations. The Hard Rock Café was around 1.5 miles away and easily within walking distance. There is also a train station very close. The room was on the top floor facing the main road and Urania Science Center. It provided a beautiful city view and a nice view of the Sunrise to the East. There was more than adequate room for my wife and I with a King bed, closet space, and a full work desk where we planned our daily adventures. The staff was very polite throughout our stay and their parking garage had enough room for us to leave and return as we pleased without having to worry about not having a parking space. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Wonderful experience.
I loved staying here. They let me check in two hours early because I arrived in Berlin at 7am. Whoever gave this hotel a bad survey is mad at life and must not be happy. I will definitely comeback.

Ok for 1 night
We had 2 rooms over our 2 night stay. the first was a standard room but the mini bar fridge didnt work n tv constantly flickered n the plug wouldnt retain water in the sink resulting in warm beers. We reported it twice n 2 engineers both said Kaput. After a trip to reception we were upgraded to a room with working minibar and tv but no bsth and it was the hottest room ever with very noisy inadequate aircon... Location was fab though n only 6 minutes walk to Zoogarten station.

Stay away, in spite of the (relatively) good price
The hotel has two big advantages: location and (in my case) price. All the rest is a complete disaster. The rooms are unclean. The staff is the most unprofessional I have ever met (and I travel at least 2-3 times a month). For example, I called in the morning of checking-in to ask a room with a fast wifi; I was told that all the rooms have the same internet speed. When I check-in, however, the speed was super slow - in an interest speed test it was 0.1 Mbps - and a similar result was even in the reception. If internet is important to you, stay away! In addition, the tea boiler in my room was broken; the woman in the reception allowed me to take a tea in the morning from the dining hall. Yet, when checking-out, I was amazed to find out that I was charged for a "breakfast," which I never had, and all my explanations did not work out because the woman was not in the hotel at that moment. Almost everything in this hotel was SO SO unprofessional. My advice - choose a different hotel!

Horrible experience! The first room we were on was terrible. The shower had mold all over. The carpet and walls were dirty. When we complained we were moved to a completely different section that required keys to enter. The room was a lot better and bigger with a clean tub but it smelled bad.

Very old hotel, not worthy of its value
Staff is impolite, rooms are very old, area is good and very close to Kurfurstendamm which is the best shopping area in Berlin. Very close to metro station.

2 star hotel, pretending to be a 4 star.
I came to Berlin for a week or so, I got this hotel because of the rate, unfortunately I got what I paid for. The hotel is very old and is not very well maintained, the staff was really good. Internet was terrible, it was down 3 out of 5 days I stayed there. Breakfast is expensive but the quality is good. The bathroom door didn't open completely, stopped at the vanity top, meaning the bathroom was very small. For the price this hotel is ok, but the 4 stars it is rated, the truth is that this hotel is maybe a 2 star hotel. When you buy the room, if breakfast is not included, you can save 3 euros if you tell them on your arrival that you want breakfast included. I was told this 2 days after I got there.

A place to rest your head but don't expect smart attentive service. This hotel is tired and it's staff are too. Consequently everything's past its best and feels a little sad. Staff are well meaning but the guest does not appear to be the priority.

First time to Berlin, 10-day business trip. Great neighborhood with ritzy feel, many nice shops and eating spots in the vicinity. Two subway stations within easy walking distance. Hotel is older but very well-kept; traditional feel.

Clean, comfortable room located close to pub trans
Best Western Hotel President is located within a 5 minute walk from U Wittenbergplatz Metro stop. It was also close to multiple bus stops that brought you to Victory Column, Brandenburg Gate within 10-15 minutes respectively. Basically easy access to anywhere you need to get in the city. The hotel itself was priced right, very clean, room was good size for Europe, staff was friendly and helpful. The one complaint I have is the wifi signal was a bit spotty in some parts of the room, for business this *may* be an issue. Overall I had a great stay and would use this hotel again.

The worst stay ever
There are two main problems with the hotel. The first and more shocking one is how rude all staff at reception is. Literally lack of basic courtesy, salutations, thank you and please, but also they raise their voice. Unbelievable. The second problem: everything is old. Decor, room, all the appliances are old. Unfortunately I had a problem during my stay as my phone got stolen, so I had to run back to the hotel, make phone calls and use the Internet as an emergency. Well , as you can imagine, the staff was not just useless but rude, and the computers that I could use were too old to cope with plane HTML web pages and I was not able to change any of my passwords. AVOID

Good location but somewhat dated
I wouldn't consider this hotel to be good value for money but maybe they were taking advantage of the fact that there was a major show at the Messe that week and I did book late. The room was small and erring on shabby. The bathroom sink was cracked - although everything in the room functioned. Can't discuss specific rates here, but let's say that if the room was a third of the price I might not have have been so negative. It's the most I've paid for a hotel in a long while and I do stay in some top notch places! Some colleagues stayed in the Holiday Inn Express just around the corner for 2/3rds of the price. You know what you're going to get here....

Very nice mid range hotel, very clean, good location for sightseeing Berlin. Basic rooms a bit on the small side but you don't really spend time in your room, hire some bikes and discover The City or take the open top bus

Great Location
I had a really nice experience in this hotel, good location, at the shonenberg area, so centrical....coonfortable beds and clean toilets, the personal at the front desk very friendly (except the guy that works from 12 to 6am), however the whole experienced was very positive. The breakfast was not included but you have so many opcions in the area around the place!
