Lovely Guesthouse (not quite hotel in my opinion)
I would say this is more of a guesthouse than an hotel as reception is not manned 24hrs and it is on the 4th floor of an apartment building reached by a rather antiquated lift (which I got stuck in on the first night but managed to get it working after ringing the emergency number!). When I arrived, I couldn't get the buzzer system on the front door to work and once you're checked in you have a heavy key fob with 3 keys; front door of building, entrance to hotel and room key. You won't lose them but chunky for carrying around.
The positives are the room was spacious (albeit a tiny shower), the staff are charming and so helpful, breakfast buffet is excellent quality and in a lovely room. I didn't realise you could request an omelette or scrambled eggs until 3rd day but was delicious when I had one.
There wasn't any aircon but a giant fan in the room. No facilities in the room, so I bought my own kettle but you can access breakfast room anytime (I just like one before I'm dressed) and make your own, together with an honesty sheet to record any drinks or snacks left out. I had a room at the back so nice and quiet.
It's a lovely place to stay but if you're on business (as I was) you sometimes need a little more out of hours service.
