Noise alert
The room itself is excellent. It brings us back to a vintage era. However, the fire alarm in the town is like a disaster. It woke me up at 4 am once and you can basically hear it anywhere in Berlin. Also, if you plan to sleep before 11 pm, the noise from the restaurant might be a problem.

Loved the vintage feel to the place and the decorations! Loved that each room is different and after cleaning they leave the doors open for you to go in for a peak. If I’m in the area, I’ll definitely be staying again. Staff was also friendly and helpful. Location is in the middle of town within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Hotel was also quiet, you can’t hear anyone from your room.

Adorable property. Love the location and the property as a whole. The bed was amazing though we paid for a queen we were put in a double. Still comfy for a mother-daughter to share. Bathroom was pretty bad….shower stall wouldn’t fit a 200lb person most likely and the water wasn’t much more than a dribble. The hole around the shower head made me nervous since anything in the wall could come through. The only old piece in the bathroom might be the door. We had 2 windows that were unlocked and very difficult to match up to get locked and since it had a walkway outside the window it felt necessary to have locked. We didn’t spend much time there but every one we had contact with was extremely friendly. Thank you all!

An historic hotel in a cool little town
A classic hotel,built in 1895. Our room was small and the bathroom was tiny plus we were over kitchen which made it noisy. Management addressed the noise issue by providing us with a white noise machine which helped. The restaurant and bar were both outstanding as was the service.

Iconic old-world property in charming Berlin, MD -- although historic, it also is in need of a "facelift" that would preserve its historic significance yet also both modernize and update the property. Outstanding restaurant, front-porch and location. Although a bit "tired" -- strongly recommend for a nice "get-away."
