Awesome location near Bergen Centrum and all the restaurants and Bryggen . The checkout ( actually early checkout ) was pretty fast and friendly staff , the included breakfast was a 5 star and the room size very good Albert and Raquel Costa Rica

A wonderful Christmas spent at this friendly hotel! Welcoming reception staff, an absolutely brilliant bar tender who was kind to me and made me feel at home. Great breakfast, clean room, quiet and peaceful. Easy to walk into central Bergen in 10 mins!

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Giselda front of house in the Breakfast restaurant was so welcoming it made me feel at home it was amazing how she remembered my name, prety impressive with the number of residents staying there in the hotel. Gave me a lovely send off .Frederick at the bar was professional, hard working and knowledgeable. The Breakfast was amazing with the choice , quality considering how many residents they had staying. All in all I didn't say goodbye, just until we meet again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Scandic. The breakfast spread was fabulous! The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly. It was located in a quiet area easily walkable to main attractions. It is also located close to the train station.

Ordinary commercial/tourist hotel. Comfortable rooms, good shower, pleasant front desk staff. Mediocre breakfast. Plenty of food but tasteless and not hot.

Perfect location. Public transportation is just a few mn away. There is a shopping center close by. The city center is only about 20mn walk. Great breakfast offer each morning. Room service is great. Nice, clean, comfortable and quiet.

What worked well: breakfast very comprehensive, even for vegetarians / vegans. Location was good with a 10 min walk into the main town What was not good: room overlooked a carpark where people could see into the room (no net curtain), shower leaked, toilet was broken, flickering light in room, the lock did not work properly on the room, and room was not clean despite me asking twice on a single day for this to be. Was not worth the expensive rate of > £200 a night

Great stay in Bergen
Phenomenal stay! This property was slightly further away from the very touristy parts of Bergen, but in close proximity to the train station and bus station (which features a light rail/tram stop to the airport). Main attractions in Bergen and food were a quick 10-15 minute walk - which was very scenic! The room was spacious compared to other properties we've seen in Norway and very clean - housekeeping came by daily (unprompted) to make the beds and provide fresh towels. The breakfast was bustling and provided a large selection of freshly made food. While the hotel restaurant, Roast, was closed during our stay, there was a lunch and supper buffet offered, as well as a small selection of food items available at the hotel bar. Very tasty!
