"We spent two nights here and we were comfortable even though the room was basic. Breakfast on the balcony was lovely. There’s a steep climb back home after going down to the main street, so you will give your calves a good stretch, but it’s worth it for the view of Little Adam’s Peak that you get in the morning. "This stay is very close walk to/from the train station with plenty of food options. This was a perfect place to have a quick stay before heading in to Yala. This family business is very charming and extremely friendly! They were very accommodating during our stay and even packed us breakfast when we had a quick morning check out! "

"The hotel is basic and that's what we pay for. The town was unexpectedly quiet and shops/restaurants closed rather early. Should have picked Polonnaruwa over Anurahadpura."

"Beautiful castle like hotel with excellent staff . Excellent scenery and excellent food. The only thing bad is the journey to the hotel is horrifying especially in the evening. It is not easy to find the place."

"I normally don’t write a reviews but this was the worst accommodation so I decided to write. I’m traveling all around Asia and this was the most stressful experience I’ve ever had in my life. First of all, room is not clean at all, towels smells awful ( it’s like someone’s already use it before), many ants climbing up on bed, and the worst thing is so many species of insects. We couldn’t sleep because of the many insects and mosquitoes. You can find much more better accommodation with this...

"The room was huge and the facility was very basic. The guy at the reception was very kind to show me the short cut to the town. Wi-Fi worked well. Warm water was available but I had to bath from tap as water pressure from showerhead was too weak. It is because I stayed during the rainy days, I felt the room damp and bed little smelly...Considering the price and location, I could not ask for more."
