They made dishes that weren’t even on the menu, and they tasted way better than anything I’ve ever had before. In the end, they were the friendliest and most hospitable staff we’ve ever had, and they made our stay absolutely incredible."

"This hotel has breakfast included (verry good) it is walking distance to the most beautiful beach I've seen so far no river to cross nothing. The train station Bentota is 50 metres away next to Coco's restaurant for fresh fish and cold beer ! Staying a few days here is a must !"

"Beautiful Geoffrey Bowa- designed boutique hotel set in a beautifully tended garden. This is our second stay & it didnt disappoint. The staff remembered us after 4 years! Very good service, excellent breakfasts & evening meal. There is a train line running along the bottom of the garden and the train clanks along it every hour or so. We loved the quirkiness of it. Its a gorgeous, peaceful sanctuary. Beautiful beach is just over the railway line. There are bars along the beach to the left for a lunchtime wander & food, and also great places to eat along the beach to the right in Bentota (or short tuk-tuk ride). I would happily come back here anytime!"
