Charming Town House near the beaches of Normandy and Pegasus Bridge

Townhouse of 50m2 with terrace, full of charm, decorated with care, comfortable and very well equipped.
Direct access to the canal offering beautiful walks by bike or on foot with a bike path along the seafront.
Ideally located to visit the Normandy beaches and the mythical places of the D-Day.
You will be able to easily reach all the tourist sites of the region (Pegasus Bridge, Omaha Beach, Arromanches, Caen, Bayeux, Honfleur, Mont Saint Michel at 1H30)


Description of the accommodation:
On the ground floor: open kitchen fully equipped with dining area.
1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
Upstairs: living room with fireplace overlooking 1 bedroom and bathroom with bath, sink and toilet. (recessed bed in the floor / bathtub under slope)
Outside: pretty terrace closed wall without vis-à-vis with garden furniture, garden table, deckchair, barbecue.

Namely: the bathrooms are quite small

A great little gite in the Normandie region. The space is a little tight for four adults, but not unworkable. We had a great stay.

Lovely little cottage
Small but cute cottage in a great location. Only drawback is no outside space and the sunken bed upstairs was a little challenging due to the gap around it.

Very good experience
We had a great experience thanx to our host and we are happy we chose to stay here. The local bakery doesn’t have coffee, so bring your own to use, the host provides Nespresso machine and coffee pot. Remember to shower in the morning and enjoy your stay!

Lovely little house although not suitable for disabled or people that would find a sunken bed or spiral staircase an issue to use. Other than that.. cheap little rental for a few days to see the beaches of Normandy

Different but nice
A great place to stay close to Pegasus Bridge. Great host who was very attentive. Would highly recommend if you are mobile, the spiral staircase is tight and the upstairs room arrangements require a little physical flexibility.

Perfect Location
Took my grandson to see Pegasus bridge, Caen Museum and the Normandy beaches. Perfect location. The house was very cosy, warm and with plenty of hot water for showers and a bath. Parking right outside the house. And with a boulangerie just 100 metres away too.

Stay in Benouville
The village of Benouville is close to many points of interest in Normandy. The village restaurant was excellent and the boulangerie just up the street was perfect. We enjoyed walks within the village (there is a nice path along the canal right behind the house!) The house was well appointed and provided everything we needed. The reverse plan, with the living room upstairs was nice, but a bit difficult with narrow winding stairs. Those were difficult to manage for some of the older family members.

The living room on the second floor merges into the second floor bedroom..The second floor bed is sunken and you need to roll out and into bed to get in it.and the hot water heater is mounted to the wall over the first floor bathroom toilet making it tough not to hit your head when using the toilet.

** B E A U T I F U L **
I had stayed here ~ 5 yrs ago and was very glad to return. This time with my wife and another couple. It was perfect !! The facility, the location, and the hospitality. When returning to the area, I would certainly choose again. The proximity to Pegasus Bridge as well as the beaches of Normandy, and the Canadian Cemetery was very very convenient indeed. Séjour Bénouville
Gîte très propre. Literie confortable. L’accès à l’étage par l’escalier très étroit. À l’étage, la salle de bain est séparée de la chambre juste par un rideau (pas très intime, notamment pour aller aux wc). Idem, le salon à l’étage n’est pas très pratique, juste séparé par un rideau avec la chambre et les wc. Nous n’avons pas pu profiter du salon car pas facile d’accès. La cuisine est très très bien équipée. Un accès facile au chemin de halage et piste cyclable. À ajouter sur le guide des locataires: ouverture d’une biscuiterie artisanale à 10min à pieds.

Petite surface très joliment décorée et bien équipée. La proximité du canal de l'orne permet des ballades à pied ou en vélo sans voiture. Notre séjour pluvieux nous a permis d'apprécier la cheminée , fonctionnelle et efficace. Une bonne adresse de vacances donc

Très agréable
Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans la maison de Bénouville d'Audrey. Rien n'y manquait, la maison avait une atmosphère chaleureuse, de plus elle était aménagée avec un bon goût manifeste. Nous n'avons pas eu l'occasion de voir la propriétaire mais elle restait à l'écoute et répondait vite à nos questions envoyées par l'intermédiaire du site. Seul problème, la petite boulangerie, qui était ouverte juste le premier jour de notre arrivée, car ils prenaient ensuite leurs vacances annuelles...pas de chance, car leurs croissants et baguette étaient bons.

Parfait pour un couple. L'étage est très cosy. La cheminée a été appréciée en raison de la température glaciale (mi-déc 2022). On regrette simplement de n'avoir pu rencontrer Audrey qui semble très avenante et sympathique.

Maisonnette chaleureuse, nickel et très agréable, cheminée et confort bien appréciés lors d'un week-end très hivernal... Très calme, à proximité immédiate du canal, balade très sympa pour rejoindre la plage de Ouistreham à qqs km. Merci à la propriétaire pour sa souplesse et ses petites attentions...
