"Stayed from Friday to Sunday to ski at Mount Snow and Okemo. Very nice reception staff (they offered a refund when I had to cancel a night) and the rooms were clean and comfortable. While it was not a luxury stay, for $100 a night, it was an amazing deal, and I would highly recommend. The only issue is the walls could be slightly thicker"

"The property at South Shire is beautiful and quiet. We have stayed at a few places in Bennington and it can be hit or miss. The bed in our room was very comfortable and there was also a fireplace and a deep spa tub. Just know that if you book a room for 3 and it is not specified that there is more than one bed they will have to pull in a mattress."

"The stay at the barn was fantastic. Very warm and cozy . For those who think staying in a restored barn was drafty , not at all , it's very well insulated and it was 31 degrees outside. The fire place was awesome with plenty of wood. Dave and Loretta were very accommodating and easily assessable . It's beautifully decorated with some antiques which we enjoyed . Highly recommend . John , Debar, Rob and Sharon."

"It was such a relief to enter a space that honors a time gone by. The attention to detail—perfect touches—from the sheets and pillows tot he fresh flowers at the breakfast table added to the hospitality and warmth we felt immediately walking into the inn. "The dome home is a gorgeous architecturally unique place. It is well appointed, with well kept plants, a little library, instruments, and a functional kitchen. It’s just an incredibly fun place to stay. There is a spectacular short hike ending in a swimming hole nearby. I suspect we will be back."
