Charming 1760 built house, pool, great for families, short drive to the beach

This lovingly restored 1760 built house is set in a large (2500sqm/0.6acres) totally secluded mature garden with a fully enclosed 10x5m swimming pool in a tranquil area on the edge of the village of Benesse-Maremne about 8 km from the sea and the lively towns Hossegor, Capbreton and Seignosse. Our charming, stylishly furnished house has 4 large bedrooms - 1 double,1 double and extra single bed and 2 twins, 1 bathroom (bath and shower) and 1 shower room, a big farmhouse kitchen/dining room seating 10 comfortably with a huge fireplace, outside dining terrace, large comfortable lounge (Hi-Fi system,2 TV's and lots of DVD's are provided) and a further cosy Reception room. The kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.
The property is fully enclosed with lots of parking spaces, child and pet friendly and safe.

Lovely stay in French town
Charming and spacious country home with pool. Lovely garden and quiet location; all very easy and comfortable. We had our adult son, his wife and granddaughter with us with room to spare. Pia and her local support crew, Jean Louis and Michael were terrific to deal with. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Home from home
We loved everything about the house - it is perfect for a family holiday and very well provided with all you could need. The sea and lovely beaches are only 10-15 minutes away and the pool is a good size and well looked after if you want to stay at home. The only possible negative is the location but as the house is quite secluded this was not really an issue. All in all it was everything we had hoped for.

Tolles Haus
Ein wunderschönes, überaus liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus, in dem wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt haben. Die Informationen, die wir vor der Anreise erhalten haben, waren so umfangreich, wie ich es noch nie erlebt habe. Das Haus liegt auf einem großen Grundstück mit gepflegtem Garten und hat einen großen Pool. Es ist alles da, was man braucht und mehr. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und der Strand sind mit dem Auto gut und schnell erreichbar. Wenn es sehr ruhig ist, hört man schon einmal die Autobahn, hat aber nicht wirklich gestört. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit.

Très agréable séjour à Bénesse
Nos avons passé un très agréable séjour dans la maison de Pia. La maison très bien équipée et suffisamment grande pour s’y sentir à l’aise à huit. Nos petites filles ont adoré la piscine et y ont passé beaucoup de temps. Le fait qu’elle soit entièrement clôturée était très rassurant. Le jardin arboré est très grand et magnifique. Aucun souci de parking, tout est prévu ! L’accueil chaleureux de Jean-Louis et ses visites pour voir si tout allait bien étaient juste parfaits. La proximité de l’océan et du lac d’Hossegor sont un plus ! Nous recommandons bien sûr la maison de Pia.

Schönes Haus super großer Garten -LAGE - Strandnah
Tolles großes ruhiges Haus mit riesigen Garten -nicht einsehbar - alles eingezäunt ideal für Kinder und Hunde Super Pool -Lage -in ein paar Minuten ist man am Strand oder auch schnell in den umliegenden Städten wie Bayonne-Biarritz- Capreton -Hossegor - St Jean de Luz usw. Gut ausgestattet -es fehlte an nichts rund um zu wohlfühlen und einen erholsamen Urlaub mit der Familie oder Freunden zu verbringen -Gerne empfehlen wir das Haus weiter.

Toute ma famille et moi avons passés un très agréable séjour dans la maison de Pia. La maison est très bien située, proche de l'océan (7 km) pour toutes les activités nautiques et à l'écart de la foule estivale assurant un repos bien mérité. Les extérieurs et la piscine sont juste magiques permettant soit de lézarder, de jouer (nous avons fait des parties de molkky endiablées) et aussi de dîner agréablement autour de la grande table extérieure (nous étions 7 adultes). Merci Pia pour ce séjour, je recommande sans hésitation cette belle maison familiale de vacances.

Wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Pia's house. We were 6 adults and 3 children & we really felt like home :) The owner answered all of our requests from the beginning and was always available and flexible. The house is beautiful and functionnal. Perfect also for babies as there is a cot bed & high chair. The house is in a very quiet district. Close to everything: shops, Hossegor, Capbreton to buy fresh fish everyday.... I hope we will be able to come back.

Hervorragendes Haus, das zum Entspannen einlädt!
Vielen Dank für die wunderschöne Urlaubsunterkunft!! Das Ferienhaus hat sehr viel Charme und Gemütlichkeit, sodass wir uns dort wunderbar erholen konnten. Es bietet sehr viel Raum und Platz, hat einen großen Wohn-/Essbereich und einen tollen Garten und ist daher insbesondere auch für größere Gruppen und Familien perfekt geeignet. Alles war sauber und gepflegt, sodass wir uns vom ersten Moment an sofort wohlfühlen und entspannen konnten. Wir können dieses Haus nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder dorthin zurück kommen. Danke!

Wonderful family holiday
We stayed here with another family, and had the most wonderful week. A perfect sized house for our two families. Everything is in good condition and plenty of space for all. Fabulous home away from home
The house was very warm and welcoming. It seemed exactly like what it was - someone's home. We felt very comfortable and relaxed very quickly. We'd definitely go again in a heartbeat. Spent a lot of time in the splendid, spacious garden ... Great surrounding area, as well, just a short hop to Biarritz and only a slightly longer one to Bordeaux. Couldn't recommend this holiday destination any more highly.

Brilliant property in an excellent location
Beautiful spacious rustic house in a great vicinity. Stayed with a large group exploring the area and playing golf on the many courses nearby. Bedrooms are large and the kitchen living area was great for entertaining in the evening. Lovely pool area for relaxing and many good restaurants close to the property. Hope to go again next year.

Eine sehr große Enttäuschung!
++schlechter Allgemeinzustand++ ++abgenutztes und fehlendes Mobiliar++ ++Hygienemängel++ Als langjähriger Frankreich-Urlauber bekommt man einen recht guten Vergleich über die Objekte, die auf dem Ferienhaus-Mietmarkt angeboten werden. Meine persönliche Bilanz bisher: Immer waren die Häuser ordentlich, im Großen und Ganzen sauber, alle hatte sie aber ein akzeptables bis gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Um es gleich zu sagen: Dies Haus hier nicht. Es „The French House“ zu nennen, wie es der Vermieter tut, empfinde ich sogar als eine ziemliche Beleidigung für alle Franzosen. Was wir vor Ort angetroffen haben? Das Objekt hielt nicht das, was die Fotos und die Beschreibung versprachen... Als erstes kam uns beim Betreten ein modriger Geruch entgegen, der auch durch tagelanges Lüften nicht vergehen wollte. Das Schlafzimmer mit Ensuite-Bad wies Schimmel-Befall auf, so dass wir es nicht bewohnen mochten. Es passte aber gut zum Bad, in dem wir ebenfalls Schimmel rund um die Badewanne antrafen. Im Ausweichschlafzimmer fehlte der Kleiderschrank, in einem weiteren Schlafzimmer konnte der vorhandene Schrank nicht benutzt werden, da er innen stark modrig roch. Nach 7 Tagen ging der Kühlschrank kaputt. Ich erwähne nur der Vollständigkeit halber, dass sich an den neuralgischen Stellen der Eiswürfel- und Trinkwasserspender ebenfalls Schimmel ausbreitete. Wir mussten auf einen kleinen Kühlschrank ausweichen, der im Keller stand, aber längst nicht alles fasste, was man so im Urlaub bei 30 Grad kühlen muss. Der Kühlschrank wurde übrigens jeden Tag fast repariert… Der Pool: Hier löste sich an einigen Stellen die Innenverkleidung. Grasbewuchs war zwischen Pool und Haus so spärlich vorhanden, dass man entweder staubige oder matschige Füße hatte, je nachdem ob man gerade ins Wasser wollte oder herauskam. Dass sämtliche Auflagen für die Liegen und Gartenstühle verdreckt waren, störte uns da nicht weiter - wir hatten ja Handtücher. Dass wir bei Einzug sämtliche Gläser und die meisten Teller spülen mussten: geschenkt. Problematischer war da schon der Zustand der Möbel und der Wände: Wenn Lampenschirme fehlen, wenn man sich nicht auf schmoddrige Polster setzen möchte, wenn es keine saubere Wand mehr gibt, dann kann man das nur als abgewohnt bezeichnen. Ich würde in diesem Haus nicht mal mehr Urlaub machen, wenn man mir Geld geben würde. Weil Urlaub – im Sinne der Entspannung und Erholung in einem gepflegten Umfeld – hier nicht möglich ist.

Ein liebenswertes Landhaus
Dieses liebenswerte Landhaus in Benesse-Maremne ist ein idealer Ort für wirklich erholsame Ferien. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und ist mit allem ausgestattet, damit man auch im Urlaub keine Annehmlichkeiten vermissen muss. Der Pool ist ideal auch für eine Familie mit mehreren Kindern. Es ist auch ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für vielfältige Unternehmungen. 2 Strände sind mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen ebenso einige wirklich sehr nette Restaurants sowie diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wir haben Ausflüge nach Biarritz und in die Pyrenäen unternommen, die sehr zu empfehlen sind. Wir haben den Urlaub rundherum genossen und werden sicherlich wieder kommen.

Ein französischer Traum!
Bereits zum zweiten Mal haben wir (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kleinkind) unseren Urlaub in diesem tollen Haus verbracht. Dieses Mal mit unserer 1-jährigen Tochter, die die Zeit dort sehr genossen hat. Pool, Garten, Terrasse und das großzügige Haus waren für unsere Zwecke optimal und wurden intensiv genutzt. Das Haus ist bestens ausgestattet und besitzt an Mobiliar und Technik alles, was man benötigt (so z.B. auch eine Spülmaschine, einen DVD-Player u.v.m.). Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll und liebevoll ausgewählt. Auch die Dekorationen sorgen dafür, dass man sich wie zu Hause fühlt und nicht wie in einem sterilen, zweckmäßigen Hotel(zimmer). Alles war sauber und gepflegt und wir konnten einen entspannten Urlaub verbringen. Das Haus liegt ruhig, mit einem Auto ist man aber schnell am Strand, beim Einkaufen oder bei sonstigen Attraktionen in der Umgebung. Ein sehr guter Bäcker ist mit den vorhandenen Fahrrädern in 3 Minuten erreichbar. Die Grillabende (Gasgrill vorhanden) auf der wunderschönen Terrasse werden uns unvergesslich bleiben!

Fabulous Family Holiday
We had a perfect week in September. The weather was glorious and lots for all of the family to do - wonderful beach, lovely pool at the house, stylish shopping in Biarritz and Bayonne, fabulous local restaurants and top class golf courses - all this in close proximity to the lovely, well kept and equipped property. In short - a perfect family holiday.
